120-Hour TESOL Certification Program

TESOL Certification Program

TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. TESOL Asia, the leading TESOL provider in the
Philippines and Enderun Colleges, the leading global business and hospitality management school join hands in
the provision of the 120-hour TESOL Certification Training Course in Metro Manila. The training will be handled by
ESL/EFL practitioners and experts in the field of second language acquisition. It will be held at The Study, Enderun
Tutorial and Language Center at The Podium. The program includes assessment from TESOL Asia, a division of
SITE Australia, together with Enderun Colleges. Takers of TESOL will be automatically awarded 10 Master’s credits
in Bond University, Gold Coast Queensland Australia.

The program is advised by highly distinguished ELT experts including Prof. Rod Ellis, “Father of Second Language
Acquisition” and Prof. Andy Kirkpatrick.

Before the Course Starts

To help the attendees understand the principles of Second Language Acquisition and English language teaching,
the center will send them the pre-course reading materials designed to acquaint them with the fundamentals of
ESL teaching practice. This will ensure that during the start of the training, attendees will have sufficient
awareness of teaching English.

Theory and Application

The nature of the training is to combine theories with application. Every topic has a lecture session to impart
knowledge and before the lesson ends, attendees should complete either a written or practical assessment to
measure learning. Activities given are of practical value that can immediately be utilized by the attendees.
Attendees will be divided into groups for the teaching demonstration. Each group is given a specific time to
deliver a complete lesson. During the demonstration, a teaching demonstration assessor will discuss the lesson
and will give feedback on areas that need to be strengthened or improved.

Student Involvement

TESOL Asia and Enderun Colleges believe that the students are the focus in this training and that their
involvement in different ways is needed to maximize their learning. During the training, attendees can share best
practices in teaching, how they can convert their work experiences into meaningful lessons and share reflections
on topics discussed.
