Subject – real life incidence which impact on life

Hello my name is GAURAV 24 yrs old , They may not be mind boggling or nerve wracking, but at least to
me, somewhat defining and liberating . experiences happened when I was in my Third standard in an
elementary school.Age Seven.

One day when the class teacher could not find the duster to wipe the black board, he tied a hand
kerchief to one end of a ruler and managed to wipe the black board without getting his hands dirtied.
On seeing this, I spontaneously proclaimed " good IDEA"

Unfortunately, no body else in the class had any idea that the word idea existed. What was worse,
because of their ignorance, they thought as though I had uttered some gibberish, and kept on picking on
me for the next few days, by making fun of me by shouting "Hey idea" repeatedly at me.

A few days later, our school declared a holiday when the first president of India passed away, and the
fact was notified on the notice board of the school. As all of us were going back home, some one asked
us why it was a holiday, and I replied that " our school founder passed away" Again the other fellow
students only knew the name cp singh , but none of them knew the Prefix CP Attached to the name. So,
once again they thought that I had committed a mistake and gleefully pounced on me and made fun of
me by shouting "CP CP " for some days whenever they saw me.

Now look at the irony of the situation. I absolutely knew that I was right on both occasions and it was
the other boys who were ignorant for their age, but it was I who was made the butt of ridicule because
the other boys were in a majority.

At that age, I could very legitimately have developed the Life position: I am Ok. You are Not OK.

But fortunately, I did not. On the other hand I realized that, if you happen to be smarter than your peers
and know it, then perhaps the best way to survive is to learn to ignore, and make yourself impervious to,
the other peoples' opinions or ridicule.If you are a wise man,then the very first lesson of wisdom is to
know how to remain unaffected by the chorus of the ignorant.

This perception developed at that age really stood me in good stead while dealing with more complex
foolish situations through out my later life.
