Chapter 3 First Party

Aki successfully killed the feline without much effort as he was used to confronting such
monsters in the forest. Besides, his Master have not only taught him how to fight
humans in the battlefield but also on how to deal with different kinds of monsters. His
Master Gin is quite adept in the study of monsters weaknesses and strengths. He do
have comprehensive factual informations of a large number of different species. Aki
definitely learns much from his Master.

On the other hand, the man who has been attacked by a feline was somewhat injured
and Aki noticed it so he gave him a bottle of healing potion. Healing potion is a very
expensive commodity which is priced depending on the quality. But even a regular
potion costs so much. His Master Gin is also an expert in brewing such potion made
from particular magic plants that were difficult to obtained. Aki manage to learned
making one but not as good as his Master. The quality of the potion also depends on
the skills of the brewer. A very high quality healing potion could only be brewed with
someone having a particular Skill to do so. Aki on the otherhand fully relies on his
Master’s recipe to make one.

The man, who named himself as Krull lied to Aki while telling Aki that he was going
back to the city when a feline attacked him and eventually lost his direction. Aki told
Krull that he can go with him since they are both heading back to the city.

Krull planned of backstabbing Aki when they are almost neared the city. When he
activated his Stealth (a skill that one allows to be invisible) to inflicked his attack behind
Aki, he realizes that his Skill doesn’t work. Perplexed of the occurrence, Krull theorised
that Aki has a passive Skill to counter his Stealth since Krull realises that Aki was not
even aware that he activated his Stealth but strangely doesnt work.

Eventually, they arrived in the city with the assassin’s mission ended up a failure. When
they finally diverge, Krull thought of activating his Stealth and it did work. It merely
implies that his theory is most probably correct. His Stealth doesnt work around Aki.

Aki went to the Quest Hall with his Burlap sack. In the Rewards Counter, he offered his
burlap sack and told the lady assisting him the Quest he is into. Aki was told that he was
rewarded by the weight and quality of the herbs. The heavier and better the quality of
the herbs, the bigger the reward money. After the inside of his sack was being
appraised, the lady in the counter offer him a pouch of coins. The adventurer around
begun to set their eyes on Aki, perplexed of how a Pebble Adventurer manage to earn
a pouch of coins from a single Quest and surprisingly, he do it solo. Their eyes even
grew wider as they heard the lady said the total amount on the pouch.

“20 gold coins.” said the lady. “You collected more than a bunch of shell questers could
do in just a single day. Quire amazing.”

“Thanks.” Aki replied.

The Adventurers who keep their eyes on Aki were green with envy. They thought that
even a Bronze Adventurer could not manage to earn that big amount in a single day.
Aki went home with a smile on his face.

On the otherhand, Krull was dawdling outside the mercenary house when Asberg
found him. Krull was still hesitant if he could tell Asberg that he had failed in his simple
mission. But Asberg have anticipated that the mission went askew as awry look
emanates from Krull’s face. Its more than enough to paint the result of his mission.

The next day, Aki went back to the Quest Hall for another quest when someone
approach him. Phibeas ask Aki if he wants to join the party for a quest. Their party was
supposed to be consist of eight people unfortunately, one of them didnt came. So they
are short of one person.

Aki was hesitant to join because obviously all the other members were of Bronze level.
Aki received a censured looks for some of them some were speaking unaudible but
obviously refering to Aki.

“I guess you are all Bronze ranked and im just a pebble. That might posed a problem.”

“You managed to beat a Bronze Adventurer so why not?”

“So you heard it too? They must be exaggerating.”

“I doubt so. I witnessed the fight and how you singlehandedly beat that Warrior
effortlessly.”
In the end, Phibeas have convinced Aki to join their party. Phibeas told Aki that the
quest they are into is accompanying a merchant to bring his medicinal goods to the
Okoboki town. Its plain simple but the the process involve is quite cumbersome. Their
course to be taken is frequently ambush by bandits. If not, wild monsters awaits nearby
among the shadows of the trees embattled to beset any passerby.

Their party is consist of eighth adventurers of Bronze tier except for Aki who was a
Pebble.

That day, they set off exiting through the northern bridge out of the city.
