inventions like the assault rifle, which have made many individuals feel uncomfortable with the
idea of their existence because of hit films like the Terminator Franchise that picture AI as an
enemy to humanity. Artificial intelligence is one of those inventions that is making individuals
with the idea of its existence. People are uncomfortable with Artificial intelligence because they
are afraid of what AI is capable of and that we will depend on it too much; however, AI has
many benefits to humanity. People must open their mind to see all of the important necessary
things that artificial intelligence will bring. In the evolution of human beings we have evolved in
many ways through technology in places like transportation with advancement like auto mobiles
or aircrafts that make getting from one place to another much more suitable for today’s society.
Concerning all life on earth we are approaching the inevitable creation or may I say we have
already started the creation of this new advancement in technology unlike anything ever seen
impossible.
Artificial intelligence first began in 1956 when Arthur Samuels invented a checker
program developed for use IBM’s 701, this was introduced in 1962 and beat the checkers master
(Savic 9). In 1976 a artificial intelligence program called MYCIN made a correct diagnosis of an
infectious disease. The next event in Artificial intelligences history is in 1986 were a AI program

called NETtalk could read written English texts aloud (Savić 9). In 1977 IBMs super pc Deep
Blue won a chess match against the world chess champion Gary Kasparov. In 2009 Google built
its first self-driven car and was brought on to the freeway in California (Savić 9). In 2011 IBM’s
Watson system won against two human experts on the TV game show Jeopardy and in that same
year Googles self-driving car drove over one million miles (Savić 9). These are just a few of the
many achievements and histories that Artificial intelligence has made possible.
In the Inside Risks of The Real Risks Artificial Intelligence David Lorge Parnas provides
research on several biased points on which I can argue. Parnas explains how Artificial
Intelligence methods can show to lead to systems and devices that are untrustworthy (Parnas
David 27). This is indeed true because in my research these AI systems are shown to not be
entirely understandable in the context of how we as human beings understand how they solve
problems. But there are not untrustworthy because of a correctly built AI shows that every given
problem can be solved without hesitation. Parnas also discuses robot ethics explaining that when
individuals see AI’s as beings that think consciously and feel on consciously and are living,
people start to ask about these ethics (Parnas 31). Parnas Also Says, “AI programs almost always
work and are dangerous because we learn to depend on them.” (Parnas 31). Although
dependability of AI can be dangerous to an extent many factors in my research will prove that
I quote from Deborica Savić “Artificial intelligence is here to stay and its impact is
irreversible.” (Savić 9). Because I believe this is true because in this generation with massive
technology companies like Google with their Google home systems that feature Artificial
intelligence operated systems and Amazon with its Alex Bot which also features an AI operated
system that allows users to make calls using voice commands. Artificial intelligence has made its

way into over ten million platforms all across the internet in chat groups, emails, apps, and much
more. The author explains the use of Artificial intelligence is essential in providing much need
collection of all information across the world inside of the internet and how all of that
management because the amounts of information being received and the information being sent
and stored is lots of times lost and requires resubmission. But with AI the information can be
processed much faster resulting in little to no information loss (Savić 12). AIs Also can provide
much more secure ways of receiving information by detecting information that people do not
take in to consideration also being able to Identify codes and identifiers Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence is not going to take jobs instead AI will provide new jobs in place
of strenuous repetitive tasks (Grosz and Stone 72). The roles that AI will play will eliminate
many tasks such as assembly lines where people work long hours with repetitive task that will
most times cause health problem later on in the lives of most; although, these people do lose their
jobs as factors unfold like large amounts of money being saved more opportunity’s will be
established to maintain the heath of the working people’s lives and expenses. Grosz and Stone
also state, “As it becomes a central force in society, the field of AI is shifting toward building
intelligent systems that can collaborate effectively with people.” (72). Artificial intelligence will
benefit many people in so many ways as it becomes a central force in society enabling people to
converse philosophy or provide systems that will provide people with someone to talk to in times
of need

In the article “Artificial Intelligence” by Robin Materese, Materese’s explains the many
benefits like providing a robotic prosthetic arm that connects to the neural path way of a human
allowing human to fix themselves and improve themselves in a way that we never could before.
of artificial intelligence and why the (NIST) National Institute of Standards and Technology
trusts technology of all kinds. Matarese says, “NIST research in AI is focused on how to measure
and enhance the security and trustworthiness of AI systems” (7). He also explains that the
beneficial and regulated in public trust and confidence in technology that utilizes AI. With the
NIST’s Research being credible knowing that it is own by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
I believe the future of AI will definitely change a lot of things in today’s world allowing
us to jump light years ahead in technology. I feel that many new beneficial types of technology
can exist in the future of AI. These types of technologies can enable us to accomplish solving
unsolvable problems such as how we can send people to mars with a sustainable food source to
provide the essential nutrition. The Future of AI in my opinion will be very spectacular allowing
Artificial intelligence might be depended of a little to much that being that a lot of
systems are currently and soon to be implemented on society are doing tasks that some may have
trouble with to this day. But the benefits of AI are unlike anything we have seen before enabling
human to do the impossible. We are now able to improve ourselves in ways that some would
never imagine. I believe technology can make Humanity greater in many ways and I think we
should consider using Artificial intelligence for our benefit even in our daily lives.
