unknown individual. Always ask for an ID and if in doubt walk away. Avoid
forceful Kava ceremonies if you get caught in that situation.

First ever ADB annual meeting in Fiji

NADI is playing host to the 52nd Asia Development Bank annual meeting which will
be held in Denarau from May 1 – 5, 2019.
With the participation of 4000 delegates from the entire Asia-Pacific rim, the annual
meeting which is for the first time being held in Fiji will create a massive economic
benefit for everyone in the market.
The jet-set town will be a hive of activity for almost two weeks as many delegates will
stay back with their family and friends to enjoy the warm Nadi hospitality and our
service providers will be running at full capacity.
In May last year, Nadi also hosted the first ever World Interhash whereby hashers
from all across the globe visited our shores to run and have fun. Everyone in town
saw the economic benefits of that event whereby 2000 hashers participated.
With such a large influx of VIP’s, overseas government officials and journalists from
the Asia-Pacific rim, it is the responsibility of every business house to ensure we give
our visitors the best impression of Fiji and leave no room for complaints.

As the tourism capital of Fiji,

The area which was first declared a township in 1947 by the British Colonial Government has over the
years created so many areas of attractions for visitors that Nadi has become the envy of other towns and
cities in the country.
When in Nadi, a visit to the Fiji Culture Village in Navo is definitely a yes on the bucket list.
At the village, you will be taken back in time and witness the traditional Fijian way of living. There are
numerous cultural shows and lots of good Fijian food to eat as well.
Another major attraction is the visit to the iconic Sri Siva Subrahmanya Swamy Temple in the heart
of Nadi town. Being the largest Hindu shrine in this part of the world, the Nadi Temple is built
on Dravidian Culture which dates back to thousands of years.
