Lesson Plan in TLE- Dressmaking

I-OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a. Know the meaning and technique of pressing.
b. Understand the difference of pressing and ironing.
c. Applying the pressing techniques to their garment project.

II-SUBJECT MATTER:
a. Topic: Pressing techniques.
b. Reference: Grade 10 Dressmaking Learning Module pp. 325-326
c. Materials: LED T.V., Pictures, Iron, fabric

III- PROCEDURE
a. PREPARATION
Checking of Attendance

b. MOTIVATION
Let the students complete the missing word in a quote.
Flashing of pictures and let the students give their comments.

c. LESSON PROPER
Reading of objectives
Let the students read the objectives

1. ACTIVITY
Unlocking of Difficulties
Give the students one of a set of the same or matching cards. Students must walk
around giving a hints about their card, either verbal or no-verbal until they find their
match. Once they find their match they will stand up and say yell.

2. ANALYSIS
What is the difference of ironing and pressing?

3. ABSTRACTION
What part of the garment that need to be press?

4. APPLICATION
Ask the students to bring out their project and press the stubborn part of the fabric.

IV-VALUES INTEGRATION
What is the importance of pressing?
V- GENERALIZATION
Actual performance helps the students gain more knowledge and develop
techniques on pressing.

VI- EVALUATION
Get ¼ sheet of paper and answer the following
1-2 give at least two pressing techniques.
