WORK EXPERIENCE
Special Education Instructional Aide El Paso, TX
Lujan Chavez Elementary School 02/2017- 06/2018
 Assisted 30 students with ADHD, ED, AU, OHI, LD, and ID as well as bilingual and monolingual
students daily and provided them with appropriate accommodation and modifications according to
their needs in a small group or whole group setting, five days a week for 7.50 hours a day.
 Responsible for providing instruction in a reading and math resource classroom, to a total of 13
students, for 45 minutes for 5 days.
 Created learning centers and bulletin boards to reinforce different math, science, and language arts
concepts including fractions, persuasive text, and photosynthesis.
 Created mnemonic devices for the supplemental aids for the 504 and special education students during
the STAAR.
 Prepared the supplemental aids’ folders and manipulatives for each student for the STAAR assessment
in every Fall and Spring Benchmark and for the STAAR at the end of two school years, 2017 and
2018.
 Provided Math and Reading tutoring during spring break intersessions for third and fifth grade
students during 4 days for 3 hours daily.
 Used the San Diego Quick Assessment, oral reading passages, and estimate of reading comprehension
