Assignment Title: Mid-Unit Macbeths Downfall

Student Writing Goal: My goal is to have good organization throughout my whole essay. I don’t want to repeat any of
the same sentences.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this assignment was to show my opinion of who was responsible of Macbeth’s downfall. It
was between Macbeths himself, Lady Macbeth or the witches. In my opinion I said that it was Lady
Macbeths fault for Macbeth’s hallucinations and him acting out of the ordinary.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I think that I did well when I finished writing my essay. I followed what was needed in the rubric. I received a
90/100 on the essay. I wish that I got it to 100, but there were things that I needed to fix in the essay. Overall,
I did well and tried my best to get all the needed information and citations.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
The part that I did well on was finding the appropriate quotes needed to back up my ACE. I did a short
answer to start it off, then cited my quote and finally ended with an explanation of how my answer and quote
fit.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I chose to revise because there were points in the essay when I needed to extend a paragraph. I also had to fix
other paragraphs because it would sound like a summary instead of my sticking to what the prompt is.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next assignment, I will make sure that I stick to the prompt, instead of summarizing. I would keep that
until the end of the essay. I will make sure to use the skills that I have acquired from Ms. Figueroa and use
that from now on.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I believe that achieved my previously stated goals. I had my quotes in the spots where it was needed. I was
able to connect my paragraphs so it can run smoothly. I was also able to make sure that the theme was clear
and that I did not repeat any information.
