2.1.DEFINICIÓN:
Por una función de varias variables entendemos una función f :D⊂Rn −→Rm que a cada
punto X ∈D le hace corresponder un único punto Y ∈Rm, que notaremos en la formaY = f(X)
y que llamaremos imagen del punto X mediante la función f. El conjunto D se llama dominio
de la función. Formalmente se indica en la forma f : D⊂Rn −→ Rm X = (x1,...,xn) 7−→ f(X)
= (f1(x1,...,xn),..., fm(x1,...,xn)), donde cada fi, i = 1,...,m, es una función fi :D⊂Rn →R que se
llama componente i-ésima de f. En forma abreviada, una función de m componentes se escribe
