Exterminatus.

It is the year 40.000, and there is only war. Mankind has travelled beyond the stars.
The Imperium of Man is holding for now, but the forces of Chaos grow stronger each day.
The corruption is spreading. World after world is consumed by The Warp just to feed the
Gods of Chaos. The Emperor has ordered the Inquisition to seek and purge the myriad of
threats to the Imperium and mankind. When a planet is tainted beyond salvation, the only
option is Exterminatus. The Imperial fleet carries out the order through orbital bombardment
obliterating the entire planetary biosphere, and leaving behind a scorching trace of burning
worlds. The Inquisitorial Ordos, the Ordos Malleus, is now in Bolus V. It is the home planet
of Sigma Executioners, a Chapter of the Space Marines. Degenhard Weizmann is the
inquisitor in charge. His mission is to investigate daemonic threats and destroy them. Sigma
Executioners faced the forces of Chaos in their own sector for many centuries, and rumors
started to spread through their ranks. The Chapter’s master, Wolfgang Steinhauser met his
demise in the last Crusade, betrayed by his own Librarian, Witold Henschel, who fell to the
corruption along with many of their brothers.

“Pull the trigger, Executioner, and kill the heretic, or I will purge you both” said
Weizmann to Egmont Pilz, a Space Marine from the Sigma Executioner Chapter. Pilz was
holding his bolter, trembling, full of doubt. The Inquisitor, who just met a few hours ago,
was asking him to unleash his bolter on the skull of his captain, Isebrand Strassmann. “Do it
son, our Chapter’s future lies in that” said Strassmann to Pilz. He pulled the trigger, the
bolter’s fire echoed on the halls of the Chapel. The cold metal floor and walls were painted
crimson with the blood of many brothers in arms. “Well done Executioner, our Emperor’s
will has prevailed this day” said Weizmann to Pilz, after he finished the purge of twenty
Sigma Executioners who had taken part in the last Crusade. Their only sin was to be in the
wrong place, at the wrong time. Pilz was not deployed in the last Crusade due to the injuries
he received from a battle. He did not know how to feel about what happened. To kill twenty
brothers is a heavy burden for any Space Marine, but he also knew, that Chaos must be
stopped, no matter the cost.

The Inquisition Grey Knights, following Weizmann orders, investigated and purged
any possible Chaos agent. Bolus V major cities were inspected. The entire population of
millions of people were trembling in fear. Inquisition do not save lives, they the cut infection
before it spreads. The Imperial Guard collaborated with the query, but their ranks also shown
the mark of Chaos. They soon realized that this world was beyond salvation. The presence
of The Warp was too strong. Weizmann suspicious were confirmed. An unholy shrine was
created on a Chapter’s Chapel, and the ritual to open the path to The Warp was completed.
Daemons started to manifest over the entire surface of the planet, spreading like a swarm,
killing, consuming and corrupting. Space Marines, Imperial Guard and civilians started to
fell prey to the corruption. Their sanity was banishing, their flesh was changing, their eyes
bleed, the voices cried out in pain and agony; they knew The Warp was overtaking them. The
dark Gods were pleased with the feast.

The few Sigma Executioners who resisted the taint of Chaos regrouped with
Weizzmann’s forces, Pilz was among them. Both forces helped each other in order to scape
from Bolus V. With a few loses, they boarded the Inquisition Thunder Hawk and left the
planet. Once they arrived the Ordo Malleus flagship, Endless Redemption, Weizmann
ordered the Exterminatus. Pilz and his brothers looked at the screen of the vessel’s Hangar.
Bolus V became a ball of fire and death under the might of the Imperium of Man fleet. They
felt the screams of millions dying by the righteous fire of the nukes. The Sigma Executioners
noticed then that they were surrounded by The Inquisition Grey Knights. Weizzman was
among them. “All taint of Chaos has to be purged, Executioners, we cannot risk taking you
with us” said Weizzman. “For the Emperor and the Imperium of Man” cried the Knights
while they unleashed their bolters on the last members of the Sigma Executioners Chapter.
