Ilya (or Charles) –

Since I haven’t heard back from you and I’m eager to understand what I’m looking at in the materials you sent
me, here are some specific questions on the PDF’s you have sent me:

82-84 Modern Global Communities pdf:

 In the FOIA index what class/course is this indicated as? Is this the 10th Grade Honors course at Newton
South? This doesn’t indicate a year, does the FOIA indicate that information elsewhere?

 Am I therefore correct therefore that the Gelvin reference here is presumably to chapter 14 of what Esther gave
me?

 Am I correct that you are awaiting FOIA delivery of the actual handouts (including chapter 14)?

AWSN 89-91 Unit Two pdf:

 Which class/course is this unit linked to in the FOIA index? This indicates 9th grade ancient world history
2012-13 (Newton South?). Is that correct?

 I see the two references on page 5 to “Arab Worlds Studies reading.” I want to make sure I’m not missing any
other references to AWSN in these materials. Have I?

 Do you have the AWSN reading referenced here or are you waiting on the second FOIA round for the actual
handout here?

Is there anything specific you would like to draw my attention to in the other PDFs you’ve sent me?

With answers to those questions I now have process/next-steps questions:

 Are you prepared to show these documents, which seem to be key to substantiating the questions you raise in
this week’s Advocate, to others? Will you, or shall I, share these with my leadership, with ADL, with Matt
Hills…?
