Assignment Title: End of unit social issue

Student Writing Goal: to get a better grade then my last grade

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing?

To improve on making an argument and providing textual evidence to support what I believed in. another
reason why I wrote about this is because I believed that our country is going down the wrong path; For
example thousands of people die every day just for drugs.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I believe I did well however I did have some miss spelling and lack of commas that’s why my grade drop to
80. I know if I took my time a proof read it a couple of times and maybe ask for a friend to proof read it for
me too I could done a lot better. I could have also a few more examples like how when once addict take drugs
there brain tells them they need to mentally in order to survive.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I believed that I did fantastic on my refutation because Ms. Figueroa said “Good refutation” I think I added
enough evidence to convince people that drugs are a disease. I know that my refutation was clear and straight
to the point with my quotes.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I have chosen to get my writing assignment revise because if there not enough evidence in my essay I would
want to know before I turn it in. I also want to proof read it myself just in case the person that I ask miss
something I can go and fix it.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will slow down when I’m typing. I’m going to try and focus and placing my commas where they need to be
to be place. I also I need to use more transition words and extend my vocab when talking about the objective.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
My goal was to get at least get an 80 percent and once I realize I got that I was excited until It was reflected
by my teacher. I Realize I can do much better there was a lot of errors for example incorrect spelling. The
only thing I was proud of was my counter argument I provide a lot of example and gave great detail of what
drugs can do to you.
