Assignment Title: Q3 End of Unit: Macbeth’s Theme in Society

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal for the year is to score at least an A or B on all my essay’s/assessments and
score a 4 on evidence, punctuation, grammar etc.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

I believe the purpose of this assignment was so we can compare Macbeth and real-life situations that occur in
today’s society. We had to choose a theme and briefly explain how it related to the play Macbeth.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I think this was one of my best papers, I clearly explained what my paper was going to be about, I briefly
explained how this paper had a connection to the Macbeth play. My grammar and punctuations were overall
good and I believe that I reached most expectations.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I think I did well on finding good quotes and facts and clearly explaining what they meant afterwards. I was
clear about what this essay was going to be about and the quotes I decided to choose really provided good
information.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

This was the essay I least had to revise, unlike the other ones, I provided about 95% of what was needed. I
provided good research/evidence, I even provided a few facts on why corruption is wrong. I gave a little bit
of information on how my topic was connected to Macbeth.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
Next time I will make sure I explain the facts I provide, because that was pretty much the only thing I was
missing. I will also remember to double space and correctly format my work cited page.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I definitely got the grade I hoped for, although this essay was turned in last minute, I tried my best to make it
great. I believe I scored 4’s on various aspects and my goal was achieved.
