(INCLUDE WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, WHEN, HOW) On 04/11/2017 Officer Taylor and I were dispatched to 1400 10th Street (Salvation Army) reference a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers met with an employee, James Dale, who stated that he was involved in an altercation with Larry Scott after he told him that he was too intoxicated to stay. Dale stated that he told Scott that he was not to come back to the Salvation Army for thirty days as a result. Scott then refused to leave the Salvation Army when told to leave. ‘When Officers made contact with Scott he was uncooperative when asked to leave. Scott refused to provide his name and was becoming difficult to speak with due to his lack of cooperation. ‘When attempting to get Scott to leave, and after multiple times of telling him to walk away, I motioned for his left arm in an attempt to pull him into the direction of the door. At this point, Scott flung his arm forcefully and violently in my direction causing me to move to avoid being hit. Officer Taylor and I then grabbed both arms and placed him into handcuffs to which he continued being uncooperative. Scott was taken to SSO Jail and charged with Assault on a law enforcement officer as well as Trespass after warning. While being processed at the jail, Scott continued to be uncooperative and verbally combative. Scott repositioned his handcuffs several times placing them in the front of his body. Deputies in the jail had to place Scott in the holding cell in order to keep him from causing any further issues during processing.
