Student Teaching (Albemarle County, 2019)


● Student Taught with cooperating teachers at Albemarle High School and Mortimer Y.
Sutherland Middle School
● Designed lesson plans and projects, and implemented technology to improve student
learning.
● Complete periodic self-assessments and received feedback from a cooperating teacher
and a university supervisor.
● Arranged music and instrument parts to supplement performance and competition
music for middle school and high school jazz ensembles.
● Conducted and rehearsed high school and middle school concert ensembles and jazz
ensembles.

Private Saxophone Instruction (2015-present)


● Maintain a private studio of saxophone students at various ages and playing abilities.
Students have auditioned for and participated in a variety of district and state honors
ensembles in Virginia, and have successfully auditioned into several schools of music.

James Madison University Summer Band Camps (2018)


● Served as a counselor for high school drum majors. Lead workshops in leadership and
communication and served as an ambassador for the JMU music program.
● Taught score study, leadership philosophy, and visual fundamentals.

Marching Royal Dukes (2017-present)


● Served as a member of the leadership team as a section leader and drum major. Taught
marching fundamentals, led full band music rehearsals, and assisted the directors in
planning for all activities. Spearheaded several philanthropic activities for the program.

Central High School (2016)


● Volunteer educator for special education classes in music. Created lesson plans and
curricular goals with a co-teacher. Implemented technology to help students access
multiple forms of music making.

Smithfield High School Bands


● Alumni and visiting teacher for music theory and jazz improvisation. Served as a guest
