Suppose a beautiful grove or trees near your house is scheduled to be cut down for a civic
project such as a basketball court. Would you support this? Why or why not? Which of
the philosophies best describes your attitude?

In my opinion, I maybe agree for the civic project to build a basketball court, but if they
want to cut the tree for this project I would not support this project. It is undeniable that the
development is very important for the development of a country. However, developments that
are not accounted for or disproportionate to environmental abilities should necessarily lead to
a concept of sustainable development unrealized. As a result, this generation will not only
suffer but the next generation will inherit the problems created today. Therefore, there are many
issues and problems with the quality of the environment is deteriorating and exacerbated by
various weaknesses and constraints in addressing these issues and problems.

Therefore, when many trees are cut down, soil structure becomes unstable and will lead
to landslides. There are many landslides that have occurred in Malaysia. Destruction which
lasts forests will cause a reduction in carbon dioxide conversion to organic carbon in the air.
This will cause rain catchment areas and absorbing and filtering rainwater before discharging
to the destroyed river. As a result, the water supply in this country will be cut off.

Unplanned tree exploration has resulted in landslides. This collapsing land can damage
property and endanger the lives of the public. There are some cases of landslides occurring on
highways and causing distress to highway users. Additionally, much needed spending by the
government to improve the condition of the collapsed land.

In addition, uncontrolled forest exploration can also cause weather changes. Usually in
areas with no trees or forests, the weather will be hot and hot. This situation will be worse when
the dry season arrives. Additionally, soil conditions will be dry and fractured and it will not be
the case for agricultural activities.

In my conclusion, uncontrolled forest exploration can bring harm to humans, animals

and the environment. So, I use the philosophy that preserve the environment in our world, we
must be contracting authorities should make a detailed study before exploring a forest area.
The government must take decisive action against those who make illegal exploration of
forests. Governments and the public should work together and together think of more critical
ideas to control this problem. The forests of this country need to be saved so that the
environment does not affected and future generations can inherit a clean, healthy and safe
environment.
