METHOD STATEMENT
Development and Up- gradation of 4 Laning of NH 52A from
Gohpur (Km 264.10 on NH 52) to Holongi (Km 20.370 on NH Page 1 of 10
52A) (total length = 10.080 Km) in the State of Assam through
Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Basis.
METHOD STATEMENT FOR REMOVAL OF ROUNDED AGGREGATES

1. Removal of Rounded Aggregates from GSB :

o The Shingle/ gravel obtained from quarry is directly placed in the Jaw crusher and
by adjusting the screen in such a way that the grading is within the specified limit.
 Material obtained from cone crusher is then checked Jointly with AE as per MoRTH
Clause 401 Table 400-1 Grading –V. .
 If in case rounded aggregate is observed in small quantity it is handpicked by using labour

 If in case rounded aggregate is observed in large number then it will be re-crushed.

o Then the checked GSB material brought from crusher to stock yard through
dumpers and make a stock piles.
2. Removal of Rounded Aggregates from WMM :
o Boulders collected from quarry is stocked at dumping yard of crusher plant .

o The boulder collected from quarry is directly placed in the Jaw crusher and by
adjusting the screen in such a way that different size aggregates will produced
through output conveyor of 40mm , 20 mm, 10mm and Stone Dust etc.
 Material obtained from cone crusher is then checked Jointly with AE as per IS-2386 .

 If in case rounded aggregate is observed in small quantity it is handpicked by using

labours .
 If in case rounded aggregate is observed in large number then it will be re-crushed.

 Then the checked aggregates brought from crusher to stock yards through dumpers and
make stock piles of individual aggregate.

 Whenever we have to run the WMM Plant we have put the Aggregates in the individual
bins of aggregate and run the plant as per our approved Mix Design and approved
calibration report of WMM Plant witnessed by AE.
 And gradation will be checked from the conveyor belt as per MoRTH Clause 406 , Table
No. 400-13.
