FELICITATIONS to Deacon
Dave who this Sunday
celebrates seventeen years of
ordination to the permanent
deaconate. In the 10am Mass
Deacon Dave will renew his
ordination promises. We are
so blessed to have such a fine
pastor in him and give thanks
to God for Deacon Dave who
brings Jesus to us. Deacon
Dave writes, “A BIG thank
you to the clergy past and
present and to the people
of this GREAT Parish.
Special thanks for all the
generosity and help,
friendship and support I
have received during my
seventeen years as a
Deacon here at St Pat’s.
May God’s Blessing be

WELCOME BACK to Fr Robert
this coming Thursday after his
well earned break. In addition
we welcome Fr Piotr
Kalicinski, our Missionary
Priest who is Fr Tomasz’ Parish
Priest in South Africa. The to
priests and Deacon Dave will
be taking good care of you
while Fr Michael begins his
annual leave this Friday. You
will be interested to learn that
Seminarian James has now
booked his one way ticket to
Jamaica which means he
leaves our Parish on 4th
give thanks to God.
ACE IS ACE: A couple of
Saturdays ago, the ACE Group
organised a wonderful family
disco in the School Hall on
Conway Road with delicious
food and great drink. The
evening really hit the spot! A
huge vote of thanks goes to
The ACE Group and members
of the Polish Community who
managed to raise the princely
sum of £750 which will off-set
another chunk from our Parish
Debt. There are a few events
in the pipeline to look forward
to following the Summer
recess ranging from the
Guides hosting a coffee
morning every third Sunday
of the month to Zara Ballara
putting on an Opera evening
in October. So watch this
space!
THINKING AHEAD:
September will be the month
when we will be beginning the
usual preparation for the
various Catechetical Rites of
Passage: RCIA, Confirmation
and First Reconciliation and
First Holy Communion. If you
know of anyone who might be
interested in becoming a
Catholic please encourage
them to join the RCIA.
Application forms will be
available in the sacristy of the
Church in the coming weeks.
