Dear Ms. Figueroa,

My writing is average, but it has improving. I would say one of my

weaknesses is my organization skills. I tend to become confused and lost

when it comes to the writing assignments. I feel this is a problems because

of my lack of organization. Another weakness, is my grammar and

punctuation. I have a wide vocabulary, but I feel I do not use my vocabulary

in the most productive way. The new writing methods that has been taught

to me are very helpful. When I was working on my social issue it help

tremendously using the “I.C.E” method. Using this method helped me put my

sentences into well written paragraphs. Around the time I was writing the

Chaucer essay I struggled, because I did not understand the writing method.

I wrote the Chaucer essay without organizing my thoughts, how I usually

write my essays in the past. In the Macbeth’s essay my weakness became

my strength because I actually read and understood the story. The only
trouble I had with the Macbeth essay was finding quotes and citing correctly.

I also ran into the problem of understand the dialogue because of the time

period and the way the words were pronounced. There are selective strong

suits when it comes to my skills on writing and understanding prompts. My

strongest trait is attention to detail and I like clarity in my writing. I feel that

if you don’t pay attention to detail and also provide clarity your writing will

be mediocre and unsatisfactory. Also when I pay attention to detail I notice

the little details which makes a difference in my writing. When it comes to

writing one of my major flaws is procrastination. I tend to become lazy. I start

off strong in the begging of the year and start getting lazy and start to slack

off. My other flaw is my grammar and flow of the writing, the writing starts

off choppy and tends to straightened out towards the middle and the end of

my writings. Once high school ends I will continue on trying to keep

progressing on my writing skills and also will sharpen my grammar and

spelling too. For my future career it does included a good amount of

grammar and writing and labeling. So it will be ideal to perfect my writing in

the future because if I do I will become very successful in my work and

maybe even climb the ranks of my job. I would also say my teacher’s

comments and feedback is helping become a better writer and also a better

person.
