Final Thoughts on Group Leadership

We have spent the past several weeks discussing and modeling what
group leadership is. From looking at how we structure group work,
discussing what makes group work successful, how we can include
everyone in a group based on their strengths, and strategies to make group
dynamics work.

Even though we work in groups regularly, there is set way to make every
group productive, easy to work with, or get along with everyone. Each
situation and individual is unique, and your leadership style differs from
everyone. For our final assessment, we are going to create a short video
on FlipGrid: https://flipgrid.com/

You will get a short demo on how to use it, but first we need to go over
what your video should include:

● An Introduction of you: Leadership Style, whether or not you like

working in groups, and 1 thing you appreciate about group leadership

● At least one thing you found valuable in our group leadership unit. It
can be over anything we discussed in class, our group structures,
discussion on strengths, including everyone, improving group
dynamics, or any strategies that were talked about in our discussion

● How you plan on being a productive group leader/ group member in

the future.
○ Example: I knew that each project had an objective, but now I
know that it can help focus the group. I will use
goals/expectations to keep myself on task.

Helpful Tips:
● Don’t worry about being on video- it’s no different than
SnapChat
● Do your own Video
● Be school appropriate
● Write down your thoughts before you get going so you can stay
on track
● Use props and have fun! No one wants to take a test
