Thank you for your interest in the Social Service Worker program. We are proud of our program and our graduates who
are well thought of in the profession. To assist you in understanding the selection process, please carefully review the
following information:

Admission Requirements:
 Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, including the following required course:
o English – any Grade 12 (C) or (U), or equivalent
 Submission of a portfolio, as follows:
o Current resume – Including details of any related education, work and volunteer experience
o Personal statement - Please write a 750 word essay telling us why you wish to become a Social Service
Worker by referring to current and previous life experience, work and/or volunteer experience, your
personal characteristics, your knowledge of the Social Service field along with your short and long term
goals
