General Guidelines
1. A Cover page or title page – You should always attach a title page to your assignment. Use
previous page as your cover sheet and be sure to fill the details correctly.

Word Processing Rules
1. Use a font type that will make easy for your examiner to read. The font size should be 12
point, and should be in the style of Times New Roman.
2. Use 1.5-line word-processing. Left justify all paragraphs.
3. Ensure that all headings are consistent in terms of size and font style.
4. Use footer function on the word processor to insert Your Student ID, Name, Subject, Module
code, and Page Number on each page. This is useful if individual sheets become detached
for any reason.
5. Use word processing application spell check and grammar check function to help edit your
assignment.
6. Ensure that your printer’s output is of a good quality and that you have enough ink to print
your entire assignment.

INTRODUCTION
Kotak Mahindra bank is one of the private sector bank in India its headquarters is at Mumbai,
Maharashtra. In the year of 2003 they get the licence from Reserve Bank of India. The
flagship company of the Kotak group to carry on banking business. They provide many offers
of banking products and financial services for corporate and the retail customers through
different type of delivery channels and specialized subsidiary in the areas of finance,
insurance, and wealth management.

The Kotak bank is having a network of 1369 branches across 689 locations and having 2164
ATM’s in the country. It’s the third largest private bank in India.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The problem area I have chosen for Kotak Mahindra Bank is there “Study of investor’s
perception in mutual funds” the reason for why I am choosing this topic is because mutual
funds are an avenues for the common investors for reaping share market for their
performance. Investing money directly in equity is a big risk for the investors and uncertainly
the investors will not participate in share market but inflation edged in investment return
demands in the exploitation of the equity market as a investment avenue. So there is a
necessity to create awareness among investors about the utility of investing in mutual fund
schemes. So this project is to assess the investors approach in mutual fund investment.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

 To evaluate the approach of mutual funds among the investors.

 To examine the different mutual fund investments available for the investors.

 To assess the approach of investors towards the mutual fund schemes.

All the information’s provided in this project is based on secondary data. All the
information’s needed for this study was collected through different websites and different
journals. Secondary data’s is based on the information’s gleaned from the studies done by
previously performed by different journals.

The objectives of the study are as follows:

 Awareness of mutual funds in the Indian market.
 To know the investors behaviour while selecting the fund.
 To know the investors approach about the mutual funds.

RESEARCH DESIGN
The research design is a route map for carrying out the research activities in the project.
Research part includes that the investors make among the funds which has been selected
for arriving at investment decisions.
