Anti-submarine warfare
Anti-submarine warfare is a branch of underwater warfare that
uses surface warships, aircraft, or other submarines to find, track,
and deter, damage, or destroy enemy submarines.
Successful anti-submarine warfare depends on a mix of sensor
and weapon technology, training, and experience.
Anti-submarine weapon
An anti-submarine weapon is any one of a number of devices that
are intended to act against a submarine and its crew, to destroy the
vessel or reduce its capability as a weapon of war. In its simplest
sense, an anti-submarine weapon is usually a projectile, missile or
bomb that is optimized to destroy submarines.
