Unlike to what most people may think, after long digging into the AI and ML we’ve found that
there is a big underlying danger and evil threats our existence. Although you may find think
that’s i’m exaggerating here, but those are not our opinion.
Actually, Artificial Intelligence, disguised as helpful digital assistants and self-driving
vehicles, is gaining a foothold – and it could one day spell the end for mankind.
According to his article in the independent legendary physicist Stephen Hawking has warned
that artificial intelligence has the potential to be the downfall of mankind. 'Success in
creating AI would be the biggest event in human history,' he said writing in the
Independent. 'Unfortunately, it might also be the last'.
It’s not only him who rang the bell warning about that, Some notable individuals such as
Tesla and SpaceX leader and innovator Elon Musk suggest AI could potentially be very
dangerous; Musk at one point was comparing AI to the dangers of the dictator of North
Korea. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates also believes there’s reason to be cautious.
The danger lying in the AI and ML starts from minor disadvantages from privacy and security
(which is not minor of course but comparing to the bigger ones it is ) ending by killing people
(which already happened).
Today, we will try to send this message out loud using the Self-driving cars as an clear
example for that.
EndingIn:
in conclusion, as we said many of the biggest and most famous scientists sees the potential
threats to the humankind through let the the doors open for AI and ML,
the effects are many starting from:
socially: - jobless people here and their leading the communities to higher crimes rate.
Another minor thing is that you have to give up your loving for the cars wbecuse this
technology will ( the goal is set to) relpace them all to let the slef driving car take the
place.
Ethical problems: when the accidents happen no one responsible, and the victim right will be
lost.
Reality: -high costs rates for over promoted thing (you can’t sleep and let the car leading
iself).
- Also you have to forget your privacy. In addition to your security.
-Technical:
-The technology is still not able to work in all conditions understanding human
behaviour:
we are far away from that technology which can eventually, replace the human at all, till that
time a lot of victims may

Death accident :
Earlier this year, a woman was killed in Arizona by an Uber test car being driven in
autonomous mode. It failed to stop when she moved into its path.
Uber halts self-driving tests after death
Will we ever be able to trust self-driving cars?
Clearly, despite all the research being carried out and the money being spent, there is still a
lot of work to do before full autonomy becomes a safe, everyday reality.

Commercial reasons for the companies to support the AV which is leading to people
get killed:
COST CONSIDERATIONS
The ride-sharing industry has another reason to support the technology. Uber founder and
former CEO Travis Kalanick predicted fully driverless vehicles would slash his
company’s operating costs to the point where it would be cheaper to hail a ride than
own a private vehicle. The Boston Consulting Group last December forecast autonomous
vehicles operated by ride-sharing services could account for nearly a quarter of the miles
Americans travel on the highway by 2030.
======================
Facts and numbers:
According to two independent polls conducted by Morning Consult in January and in late
March/early April, the percentage of Americans thinking that autonomous cars are less safe
than vehicles driven by humans increased from 36 percent to 50 percent.

How self-driving cars work (as a whole system, so where the ML and AI are used):
(another question may be raised is the difference between the AI and ML)
AI technologies power self-driving car systems. Developers of self-driving cars use vast amounts of
data from image recognition systems, along with machine learning and neural networks, to build
The neural networks identify patterns in the data, which is fed to the machine learning algorithms. That
data includes images from cameras on self-driving cars from which the neural network learns to
identify as traffic lights, trees, curbs, pedestrians, street signs and other parts of any given driving
environment.
For example, Google's self-driving car project, called Waymo, uses a mix of sensors, Lidar(light
detection and ranging -- a technology similar to radar), and cameras and combines all of the data
those systems generate to identify everything around the vehicle and predict what those objects might
do next. This happens in fractions of a second. The system learns more as it drives, so maturity is
One of the main tasks of any machine learning algorithm in the self-driving car is a continuous
rendering of the surrounding environment and the prediction of possible changes to those

Machine learning algorithms can be loosely divided into four categories: regression algorithms, pattern
:It says that the AV is only responsible for minor number of accident happened with self-
driving car:https://www.businessinsider.com/self-driving-car-accidents-caused-by-humans-

-Also, police report said that the accident (of the woman) would have been not avoidable:In
the hours after a self-driving Uber SUV killed Elaine Herzberg in nearby Tempe, police told
reporters the crash may have been unavoidable. But video footage released a week later
showed the opposite: The SUV's safety driver was not looking at the road in the moments
prior to the crash, and autonomous vehicle experts say Uber’s tech should have picked up
pedestrian with enough time to hit the brakes or swerve out of the way. In this case,
however, fresh video seems to clear the Waymo car's driver of any responsibility.
-It will reduce the traffic congestions on the roads Debunk: in the contrary:Increase
of vehicles affecting congestion Depending on how popular driverless vehicles become,
the number of vehicles on the road could increase.)
Accessibility for those who cannot drive Debunk: the usage of the traditional ways
or taxies is safer (without killing people) .Also, in the current AV cars and according to
the regulation it’s not allowed to leave the AV on auto-pilot, so still they can’t use it)
There are many people in Australia who have restricted mobility as a result of age or
disability. With fully automated cars, there will be no need for drivers’ licenses or tests
meaning that people who have been considered a driving risk in the past will have access to
driving technology without putting themselves or others in danger.
Environment, air quality, fuels/electric cars (the electric cars can do the job doesn’t
have to be AV)
Many of the companies looking to implement driverless cars are doing so with the aim to use
electric vehicles rather than hybrid or regular vehicles with combustion engines. Using
electric vehicles would reduce the amount of emissions being released into the atmosphere.
Excessive speed, braking and re-accelerating all release large amount of emissions from a
car. Because autonomous cars will travel at constant speeds and distances from one
another, there will be a reduced need for braking and re-accelerating.
People who don’t like driving (the safety for others is more important, also what
about those who do like driving if the adoption of this tech. leads to 100% self driven
cars)
Driving can be an enjoyable exercise but for the majority of car users, the time spent in the
car is a necessity not a fun activity. Commuting to and from work and running chores and
errands seem to make up the majority of time spent in cars for the average car user. With
autonomous cars, the time spent paying attention to the road will be freed up for a variety of
other pursuits, such as sleeping, watching tv or catching up on some work.
- Human drivers may become overly reliant on the autopilot technology and leave their safety in
the hands of automation, even when they should act as backup drivers in case of software failures or
mechanical issues.
In one example from March 2018, Tesla's Model X SUV was on autopilot when it crashed into a
highway lane divider. The driver's hands were not on the wheel, despite visual warnings and an
audible warning to put his hands back on the steering wheel, according to the company.
Depending on how popular driverless vehicles become, the number of vehicles on the road
could increase.
Moral Machine
Sometimes there are no good choices for a driver to make. For instance if a person suddenly
walked out into the road right in front of the car, this would leave no time for the car to apply
the brakes before a collision occurred. The driver might then have the choice of either hitting
the person or swerving the car off to the side into a concrete barrier while travelling 70 km an
hour.
All or nothing
As the projections for most of the improvements autonomous cars will have on the
environment, economy and lives saved come from a fully integrated system, it may take
some time before we see the expected benefits of the technology.
