1. NATURE AND REASON FOR CORROSION MOD. 3841 (ST1 D384; ST2 D; ST3 D429; ST4 D466; ST5 D443)
The corrosion has been found under floor structure on following items: • Change the water repellent protection type from LPS3 to AV8.
a. Supports.
MOD. 3842 (ST1 D403; ST3 D451; ST4 D466; ST5 D462)
b. Intercostals.
• Add draining hole on the lower frames at BL0 in Section 16 at
c. Floor supports. FR 35, 36, 40, 42 for ATR72 and at FR 35, 36, 38, 39, 40 for ATR42.
d. Toilet supports. • Add supplementary draining valve on ATR72.
e. Crease beam. • Move draining valve on ATR42.
f. Slide, front and rear threshold. • Add draining holes at STRG17, 18, 19, 20, 21 RH and LH side.

Corrosion is mainly due to water condensation and humidity coming from MOD. 4016 (ST1 D390; ST2 D; ST3 D438; ST4 D466; ST5 D455)
the toilet apparate spillage. • Replace the material and the protection of the aluminium 2024T3 +
CAA lavatory door sill by aluminium 7175T7351 + SAA.
2. RECOMMENDATIONS • Replace the bolt and anchor nut material.
• Apply water repellent products according to JIC 122351 PRO 10000 • Improve sealing by wet assembly of fasteners and sealant interfay.

The corrosion is due to debris projection during take-off and landing,
which damages the fitting, strap and stiffener protective coating; water

The corrosion is mostly located on the following areas : • Change the water repellent protection type from LPS3 to AV8.
a. Threshold support plate (sill plate)

b. Draining channel (pre mod.4069)

c. Intercostals between frames 36 and 39
• Extend the drainage tubes under doors threshold towards the fuselage

The corrosion is mainly due to water accumulation caused by the draining MOD. 4069 (ST1 D; ST3 D; ST4 D487; ST5 D484)

drainage: deleting the drain channel, enlarging the drain holes and
