Exterior Inspection
1. Under the car no leaks and obstructions
2. Wipers in order (point to both)
3. Tyres checked for air pressure, bolts and tread (point to all four tyres)
4. Lenses and reflectors in good condition (point front and back lights)
5. Engine checked for oil, water brake fluid and fan belt
6. Fuel cap secure
Interior Inspection
1. Doors are closed
2. Seatbelt is adjusted
3. Seat is adjusted
4. Hand break is up
5. Gear in neutral
6. Mirrors are adjusted
7. NO obstruction by the dash and feet

Hill Incline

Parrallel Parking Left
1. See 1st pole in small window and lock towards
2. See 3rd pole in side mirror and turn twice right
3. See the same first pole behind the passenger mirror and lock right

Parrallel Parking Right
1. See the 1st pole half way in the back window and lock toward
2. See the 3rd pole in the passenger side mirror and turn twice left
3. See the same first pole half way in driver front window and lock left

Alley Docking Left
1. First pole in line with your shoulder (on the mark) turn once (360°) to the right
2. Second pole in line with your shoulder (on the mark) turn again (360°) to the
right
3. See 3 poles (on a straight line) in the passenger side mirror and turn twice to
the left (ie. straighten wheels)

Alley Docking Right
1. First pole in line with your shoulder (on the mark) turn once (360°) to the left
2. Second pole in line with your shoulder (on the mark turn again (360°) to the
left
3. See 3 poles (on a straight line) in the driver side mirror and turn twice to the
right (ie. straighten wheels)

Three Point Turn
1. Drive to the corner (point A)
2. Reverse to the corner (point B)
3. Drive to the exit (point C)

Clutch Control
1. Clutch in and First Gear
2. Clutch out halfway (You will hear and feel a pull, when you do hold on that
spot)
3. Add gentle and steady petrol
4. Handbrake down (Continue to hold clutch on that spot for 4 metrers)
Gear Change
1. Off petrol
2. Clutch in
3. Change Gear
Stopping
1. Clutch in
2. Gentle brakes till a complete stop behind the line
3. Handbrake up
4. Gear neutral

Turning
1. In advance, slow down to +/- 20km, gear down to second or first gear, indicate
(all of step 1 is done while you turn
2. If you the first car, you will go half way in the intersection the second car will
wait behind the stop
3. When you are waiting halfway, handbrake up, and wait in clutch control, look
for a gap to pass through or an amber (orange) robot, wither one of these two
things means you can proceed
Traffic Circles
Approach the circle in 2cnd gear at +/- 20km p/h
If you on the outer lane you may only turn left or go straight using the outer
lane
If you on the inner lane you may only go straight or right using the inner lane
cars inside the circle have right of way ie. you may only enter the circle when
it is safe to do so
you dont have to indicate when you enter the circle but you do have to
indicate before you leave the circle
Emergency Stop
Drive in 2cnd gear at +/- 30km/ph and press clutch and brakes at the same time
bringing the vehicle to a jerking stop without letting the tyres to skid across the road
then pull up the handbrake place the gear in neutral and hazard lights on.

Hand Signals
Mirror + blindspot and indicate then mirror + blindspot and hand signal then mirror +
blind spot and turn.

Tips and Guidelines
Before you gear down, slow speed by braking
Keep to 1st or 2cnd gear when turning, going over speed humps and traffic
circles
you may not change gears while you turn
you may not change lanes in an intersection while turning
you may not look at your gears when selecting
you may not drive in a bus lane during operating hours
you may not drive on the yellow/red line on the side of the road
you may not drive on a painted island
you may not stop on a box junction but you may drive over it
you should always be able to see the tyres of the car in front of you when
stopping at the back
always give right of way to padestrians in the road, even when they are just
walking
you may not cross a barrier line
you may not overtake on a padestrian crossing
