According to estimates made by Proargentina, in which

in considering the total production of plastic products of
Panama in thousands of tones, to which the volume of
imports is added and subsequently the exports are
decomposed, indicates that the consumption Apparent
plastic products is 54.6 (thousands of tons), with per
capita consumption of approximately 18.2. According to
Panama's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the
fastest growing market is PET material for the packaged
products industry. Among the largest suppliers of
plastics in Panama are the countries of the USA, Costa Rica, Colombia, China, El
Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Guatemala.
