There are various ways to deliver the training to participants. One way that I choose to be
most effective is by having an assigned seat for every participant as it will help the speaker and
audience to pay more attention rather than having them sit by friends that can distract the
audience/speaker. Once everyone is seated, speaker will start with having everyone introduce
themselves and inform what department they’ve come from. Then speak can randomly ask the
audience multiple questions such as, “why do you think you are here today? What do you want
to gain out of this session? Why is the company making a big change in the software?” After
collecting data from audience, speaker will answer all these questions first and then talk about
the history. For instance: how long this software has been with company and things we can learn
to serve the organization better. Once this introduction phase completes, speaker is now the
primary talker and will introduce the software in details to the audience. Speaker notices that
everyone is deeply involved in this topic as it is a major part of their work. Presenter goes
through every PowerPoint slide that he prepared and making eye contact to the audience to gain
non-verbal feedback. Speaker has now completed clicking every icon (part) of the software that
it contains and audience is aware of them. Speaker has noticed many nodding heads meaning
audience is quite involved and participating in this discussion. The room was very quiet during
the presentation and a lot of employees were taking notes in their notebooks. Audience was

looking forward to the activities that speaker had prepared related to the content. It was an
interesting competition between groups; everyone wanted to answer and win the prize.
Learners’ reaction to content, materials, activities, facilitators was very positive. It was
amazing to see how each individual was very much involved in answering the questions and
were eager to learn the new content. During the activity time, participants were very excited to
share their knowledge by answering the questions that were asked. During the content, audience
showed willingness to learn by making eye contact, smiling, nodding and taking notes.
Once the training session completed, the audience was given a survey that took them
approximately 5 minutes to complete. The survey consisted of the few questions and audience
had to an option to rate from 0-5 with 5 being excellent and 0 being poor. There were also few
yes/no questions and open ended questions for feedback. Survey questions are as follows: How
knowledgeable was the speaker? How well did the speaker do to convey new software content?
Did the speaker communicate appropriately with audience? If you had to recommend this session
to another person, would you recommend? Did speaker cover every detail of the software? Was
the information accurate based on what was spoken and what was shown in Power point? Which
teaching method and which activity did you enjoy the best? Did the speaker get your attention?
