1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a
paragraph.

The main idea of these paragraphs deals with technology and the new era with
digitalization in the new and older companies so that they become fashionable with
the technological revolution. Internet and digital communications are general
purpose technologies, transfiguring economies as the printing press, the steam
engine or electricity has done it in the past.

That new and old companies must prepare for digitalization. European companies
have been slow to adapt, want to recover the lost ground, and the high-end link of
integrated manufacturing and services is of particular importance for the future
growth, sustained innovation and quality work of any company in the world.

We can appreciate the factors for the remodeling of the foundations of the
economy these are: the digital revolution, the international competition and the
