TSCA Students place 5th in Robot Competition
If you were in church a few weeks ago, you were blessed to
hear from Tyler Street Christian Academy super-teacher Jim
Bayless; Mr. Bayless teaches Calculus, Math and Physics at TSCA.
Mr. Bayless shared about his TSCA students and their student
built robot.
He heard about a local robot competition where students would
build their own robot, with their hands only. So Mr. Bayless thought
he would see if TSCA students would be interested. Well, over 40
students showed up for the first meeting and the I Robot Club
began the planning and construction of the TSCA BroBot!
The competition held recently at Mountain View Community
College included 28 area private and public schools. The Tyler
Street Christian Academy BroBot competed admirably through
several events leading the entire competition. When the door fell
off and the BroBot was eliminated from further events, the TSCA
students stopped right then and there and prayed for their BroBot.
When the remaining competitive events were completed, the TSCA
BroBot still earned a fifth place showing! We are proud of Mr.
Bayless and the TSCA BroBot!
