Face to Face Learning: Finer Fundamentals
How do you prefer to learn a new skill? Face to face or online? Students disagree on what
is better, online learning, or face to face learning. It is an important topic because it affects
students' day-to-day lives. Online learning, face-to-face classes and social media have all
changed education, for better or worse, through providing jobs for people, ways and having was
to get help through the school and teachers who are willing to help the students. Face to face
learning is superior to online learning because it creates jobs and increases human interaction.
Most importantly, face to face learning provides jobs for people; however, looking at
online learning, it casts people plenty of jobs. This example explains that having face to face
teaching keeps the job rate up. Face to face learning also excludes technical problems that come
with online learning. If a student chooses online learning over face to face learning, students
could have problems with their computer and internet connection, such as WIFI. However, if we
keep face to face learning, then we will have more jobs for people. Face to face learning does not
have any internet problems and students can still learn the subject's students want to learn. The
following quote is from an online study that explains that they tested certain areas of the
student’s work and the outcome favored face to face teaching. People have also been studying

This empirical study compared a graduate online course with an equivalent course taught
included student ratings of instructor and course quality; assessment of course interaction,
structure, and support; and learning outcome measures such as course grades and student
tasks. Results revealed that the students in the face-to-face course held slightly more
positive perceptions about the instructor and overall course quality although there was no
difference between the two course formats in several measures of learning outcomes. The
findings have direct implications for the creation, development, and delivery of online
instruction. (Johnson)
Announcing, face to face learning can be more one on one and allow time to help
students out who need help. If a student needs help, then the teacher can go into depth about a
topic, if needed. Face to face learning has better results because of the social interactions in class
with a student and their peers. When students go out and get a job, most jobs people can’t do
from home, so students need the social interactions to know how to socialize when they do get a
job. In conclusion we should have face to face learning because it helps kids out when they need
the help during class. Also, it might help students get a job in the future. The following quote
shows that students want to get their social interactions, but they have gone on to social media
instead of meeting people in person. Even though they are British undergraduate students, they
are still students who are trying to find ways to be social. It also shows that students have social

media and use them often.
2 Anecdote
Rounsville 3
Whilst recent studies suggest that over 95% of British undergraduate students are
regularly using social networking sites, we still know very little about how this
students’ social integration into university life. This paper explores how pre‐registration
social networks. Research was conducted with first year undergraduates at a British
university using an online survey. Students reported that they specifically joined
keeping in touch with friends and family at home.” (Madge, Meek, Wellens, and Hooley)
Furthermore, students can stay home and do their class work in bed. Some students might
disagree with this argument because if students just stay in bed all day, then the students might
not get any social interactions and then it might affect how they act in the community. They
might also just stay in bed all day and not get any exercise that you need during the day like
walking to your classes. The following quote is showing that students have a rough time having
A factor often ignored by many educators, but one that may make the difference between
a successful and unsuccessful online learning environment for many students. The
concept of the ‘virtual self’ that individual learners may choose to portray during online
communication. The authors suggest three protocols that can be built into the fabric of
online courses in order that a sense of community may be enabled to exist, and
productive social interaction can occur. These are (1) the greater use of synchronous

communication facilities (in addition to, rather than instead of, asynchronous ones) (2)
incorporated as an essential component into the course structure, and (3) a much greater
emphasis on the provision of (and adherence to) guidelines for successful online
minimized, much thought needs to be given to the methods of communication that will be
utilized, so that the online environment fulfils the human desire for social integration.
If online learning is an option, then students can learn at their own pace and get stuff
done as early as they want or get it done on time. Students can still work at their own pace, but
the students still might have to wait on their teachers to grade their work and give out other
assignments for the students to do. Therefore, a student can do their work at home, but if they do
that, then they might not get the social interactions that they need to be able to have social skills
and be a social person. Then students can do online learning at their own pace, but their teacher
might not grade or give out assignments as fast as students would like them to.
Shocking, online learning, face-to-face classes and social media have all changed
education, for better or worse. Face to face learning provides jobs for people and if we go to
online learning then we lose plenty of jobs. Also face to face learning can be more one on one
and help students out that need the help, but you can stay home and do your class work in bed,
but then students might not get the social interactions they need to act correctly in the
community. Then if online learning is an option, then the students can learn at their own pace
and get stuff done as early as they want or get it done on time. In conclusion, online learning,
face-to-face classes and social media have all changed education, for better or worse, and, face to

face learning provide jobs for people, has plenty of ways to get help in school. Also, face to face
learning is superior to online learning because it creates jobs and increases human interaction.
