General
This document describes the configuration of the Varian MIB-
interface TTLIO driver. It also explains how to build a control
method for this driver, how to start and view a running
acquisition, and what actions are available during an analysis.
Channel #x
Window
Output Name: Enter in this field the name of the relays of the
selected channel.
NOTE: Once the system has been created and correctly configured, it must be
associated with one or more projects in order to start some acquisitions. For
more details about the creation and configuration of a system, refer to the
Galaxie Configuration Manager User’s Guide.
NOTE: For more details about the programming of each method section, turn to the
Galaxie Chromatography Data System User’s Guide.
Prerun Control
In this window users can time program the state of each relay
during the Prerun of an acquisition.
In the column Selection Type, select the type of action that will
be done one the relays. Three choices are available: Channel,
Config ch.Value and Method ch. Value.
If Config ch. Value is selected the user can use at the specified
time a channel value configured in the system configuration.
If Method ch. Value is selected the user can use at the specified
time a channel value configured in the method.
In the column Output Name, select the name of the relay to use.
In this window users can program the state of each relay at the
injection of an acquisition.
If Config ch. Value is selected the user can use at the specified
time a channel value configured in the system configuration.
If Method ch. Value is selected the user can use at the specified
time a channel value configured in the method.

during the Run of an acquisition.

during the Postrun of an acquisition.

In the column Output Name, select the name of the relay to use.
The Method Name, the Run Name, the Run ID, and the
Acquisition length must be filled before starting the analysis.
All these parameters are automatically imported from the
acquisition part if defined in the method.
NOTE: For more details about how to start an acquisition, refer to the Galaxie
Chromatography Data System User’s Guide.
Out X: displays the actual state of the relays. If the relay is open
is displayed if it is close is displayed. If allowed in the
configuration, users can manually change the state of the relays
by double-clicking on the relay icon.
