Greetings of Peace!

I, Mary Joy N. Sondia belong to the Research Methods for Architecture (ARCH 438) class under the
instruction of Mrs. Joy Fatima V. Mendoza this second semester of the academic year 2018-2019. As a
requirement of the subject as well as a standard practice of our institute, I hereby present to you the
following title proposals.

1. HAKBANG: A Radical New Approach to a Hybrid Prison Design - A Proposed Penitentiary and
Drug-Rehabilitation with Learning Center Specializing Criminology Dasmarinas Cavite
A Penitentiary which both integrates with learning center of criminology and embedded
within the community. It is a place where prisoners and students can learn to each other, and
where the criminals can be rehabilitated in preparation for their return to society.

2. LOTUS: A Proposed Urban Shopping Center and a Mixed-used Development in Tagaytay,

Cavite
A large-scale shopping center which includes a residential housing, a high-rise tower
hotel and condominium. An organic outdoor environment with spaces for exploring, resting and
enjoy entertainment. And a desirable destination that people will see as their community hub and
return to time and again, while carefully fitting into surroundings as an authentic place of region

3. A Dynamic and Lively Office Design Which Promote Sustainability- A Proposed Business
Park in Tagaytay, Cavite
A new way of working and living in one place. It re-establishing the office and park
relationship through the creation of unique, dynamic spaces and cohesive work. This office
development aims to help revitalize the area by making a positive contribution to its surroundings.

Also, the title proposal which you will suggest and/or endorse from the aforementioned proposals shall
constitute a comprehensive research work and a written thesis (Chapters I-III) which will be submitted to
my ARCH 438 adviser and will be presented to a panel of jurors for deliberation.

In this regard, may I request for your professional advice/suggestion and supreme expertise to assist me
in selecting the best proposal which would be of vital importance to my research preparation.
