SET I

extends from a plane wall whose temperature is 235 ˚C. Determine temperature
distribution and amount of heat transfer from the air at 20 ˚C with a heat transfer
coefficient of 9 W/m2K. Take width of the fin as 1 m.

Take k = 60 W/m˚C, h = 800 W/m2 ˚C, Tꚙ = 10 ˚C. The temperature at the left end of the rod
is a constant at 100˚C.
