Section 1: Rationale (Approx 100 words)

At the start of the course I knew very basic shots but throughout the course I have learned how
to adapt these to make them more interesting for the viewer. I also had no editing skills before I
had joined the course and although they are still not amazing and I still have a lot to learn I
think I have improved a lot. Another thing I have learnt is how to add effects on Adobe After
effects, I think this could be a useful skill because having a range of skills like this will most
likely help me get into the industry and pursue the job I want.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)

My idea revolves around the song “say” by an artist called Ruel, I heard his song and thought it
linked to chance and taking chances. My concept is based around two friends that have grown
up together, throughout the video one friends starts to like another and at the end she finds a
letter / letters he has wrote her explaining how he feels. I haven’t decided what it is going to be
yet but there is going to be something that the boy can leave and go to do but doesn’t because
he doesn’t want to leave her.
My project doesn’t need that many resources as it is based around a house and I don’t need
that many actors as I am only using 3 people.
To develop my idea, I am going to do questionnaires to see what my target audience would
want included because this is how I will get a bigger target audience.

Section 3: Evaluation Methods (approx 50 words)

I will have a slide on Weebly or evaluation, on this I will aim to do small
evaluations each week to sum up what I have completed that week. I also intend to do a big
evaluation at the end of the project to reflect on how I think the project went.

Proposed Research Sources and Bibliography (Harvard Format)

For primary research I will do questionnaires to give to people to see what they think of the
idea I have so far and how I can make it better.
For secondary research I am going to watch other music videos and films that link to my idea,
this will help me get other ideas.
For my bibliography I am going to Harvard reference.
