8. Examine the current conditions of employees (rank and file in the Philippines)
how can we improve the current conditions to improve staff performance.
The Rank and File here in our country are the hearth of every company the one
always do different kind of task that the management doesn’t recognize. They
always struggle achieving different kind of duties responsibilities and multitasking
handling their time management to finish every task in the deadline. Our country
sometimes has a tradition I think that if you don’t have any educational
attainment or bachelor’s degree you’re not able enough to promote to higher
position your status will stay on a rank and file even you work in their company
more than a decade. Since I am a rank and file employee that’s why I know this
situation it’s hard for me to accept but it’s the sadness true I encounter different
person working too long in the company. Asking them what are they plan are
they want to still on their position or they achieving to be promoted. Every
appraisal of our management has a new task. They give almost half of their life
working in the company in the same position and doesn’t be promoted as long as
their knowledge and skills are applicable for the position there educational
background are not . This is the battle between the paper and the experience you
gain. I’m grateful that there’s a program where you can study fast and graduate
while you are working this is one way to improve current conditions of staff.
I also think that if the government study this situation and focused in this
issues they can change the curriculum of every company in terms of promotion
an applicable one can be promoted even they doesn’t finishes a bachelor’s
degree. The well experience can be train in the new process or new directions
setup or other implementation while the fresh graduate should start in the bottom
always for them to experience that there’s no shortcut in everything and after a
month a quarter you can P.A. them if they are applicable to be promoted .
