Pre-lesson
1.Hold up the book of the story .
2.Ask the students to tell teacher what they remember from the story.
Lesson delivery
7.Play the CD and point to each frame in the book or on the board.
8.Have students to follow along in their books.
ACTIVITIES 9.Play the CD again and encourage students to shadow read .
10.Then ,have some students act out the story for the whole class.
Post-lesson
11.Stick a label with an occupation written on the forehead of each student.
12.Make sure to tell students not to reveal which occupation their classmates have on their foreheads.
13.Explain to students that they will be given a few minutes to walk around the class, taking turns to ask and
answer questions in order to find the occupation they have on their foreheads.
14.When the time is over , students have to line up in front of the board and say what occupation they have .

1. Play Hot card pantomime with the word cards of different everyday activities . ( TB page 33 )
Lesson delivery
Activity 1
2.Direct students attention to the pictures of the children and encourage them to say the everyday activities
depicted in the pictures.
3.Explain to students that they will listen to six enchanges and that they will have in circle Yes or No according to
whether the everday activities mentioned correspond to the pictures or not.
4.Play the CD pausing after each exchange so that students may have the time to circle the correct answer .
ACTIVITIES 5.Play the CD again and have students check their answers.
6.Have students check their answers in pairs first , then check as a class.

7.After that , direct students’ attention to the picture and ask students to name the occupations.
8.Explain to students that they will have to look at the picture, read the text and complete it with the correct form
of the verbs.
9.Have students compare their answers in pairs first , then check as a class.

10.Play the song Mike’s day ( Track 20 ) and have students mime the everyday activities mentioned in the song as
they sing along.
