Project Engineer - June 2005 till Date
Position reports to Vice President Technical Service

 Responsible for technical co-ordination (technology transfer, clarifications, trouble shooting)

with customer (Ministry of Defence / BEML) and end-user (Army Units) / End User’s inspection
authorities for assembly and testing of Tatra trucks.
 Procurement of the equipments from Slovak / Czech / Germany Rep. In CKD condition.
 Spare Parts Management
 Indegenisation of Major Aggregates – Identifying, Feasibility Study, Prototype–Manufacturing,
Sourcing of aggregates identified for Indegenisation.
 Independently handled the Indegenisation project for 6 Mtr 3 Transit Concrete Mixer Sheet Metal
Fabrication components – Subcontracting / offloading and Vendor Development activities
 Distribution Management / Deployment Planning for Concrete Mixers
 Responsible for handling of customers’ warranty claims.
 Finalizing the scope of supply
 Handled the trials conducted by Indian Army for New Product Introduction for TATRA vehicles
 New Product Development – Project Conceptualization, Analysis / Selection of suitable models,
Trials, Prototype Building.

Projects Handled

o CRANE AD-160MkII: Hydraulically operated truck mounted crane on Tatra 6x6 truck , lifting
capacity 20 Tons. Project – PMS Bridge – Indian Army.

o CONCRETE MIXER: Hydraulically operated Concrete mixer superstructure mounted on Tatra

6x6 truck in capacities of 6 m 3 and 7 m3. Individually handled the indegenisation of Transit Concrete
Mixer with independent pony engine .

o RECOVERY VEHICLE –AV-15: Hydraulically operated 15 Ton capacity Heavy Recovery Vehicle
mounted on Tatra 8X8 chassis consisting of a bull-dozer attachment, welding and cutting facility, crane
with a lifting capacity of 15 Tons, a recovery winch of 15 Tons and capable of self recovery.

o RECOVERY VEHICLE LRV–7A: Hydraulically operated Light Recovery vehicle superstructure

mounted on Tatra 4x4 chassis having a maximum lifting capacity of 12 Tons, can recover up to 30 Ton
with fork lift attachment at the rear to lift the front axles of the deceased vehicle during tow.

o TRAILERS :- Design and development of 80 Ton , 50 Ton trailers provide with Hydraulic
Suspension and Steerable axles for VRDE . Also contributed to the design and development of 35 Ton
capacity semi low bed trailer for BMP 2 for overseas customer .

o ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT :- Responsible for AMC’s of all TATRA trucks marketed
by VECTRA to the Ministry of Defence Establishments like Research & Development
Establishment, Pune , Vehicle Research & Development Establishment, Ahmednagar ,
Advanced Systems Laboratry , Hydrabad , High Energy Materials Systems Laboratry, Pune ,
Bharath Dynamics Ltd, Hyderabad and Aeronautical Development Establishment ,
Bangalore. ( From Tatra 4 X 4 to Tatra 12 X 12)
 o TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER - ( Truck Mounted Concrete Mixer VM 6000-IE ) - Organisation –
VSS, Slovak Republic.

o CURRENT PROJECTS -

 Mobile Container Based Hospital Complex for Disaster Management for Indian Army.

 P2W – Mobile Container based Water Purification System.

 Articulated Truck Mounted Crane of capacity 60 tm for Indian Army ( Project –

BrahMOS) .
