EXHORTATION

THE DARKER THE NIGHT, THE BRIGHTER YOUR LIGHT

‘For it is God which is at work in you both to will and to do of his good
pleasure’ Phil 2:13

If you observe the trend in the world today, it’s as though man has finally
descended into the deepest depth of corruption, moral decadence and
wickedness. Amidst all these, however, the Bible assures us of victory for we
are not subject to the circumstances of this world; we are born of the Spirit of
God.

We need to learn to think smartly and wisely because of the day we are living
in. We need to realize that the corruption, insincerity and wickedness around us
aren’t any problem for us; we must see them as our opportunity. Opportunity for
what you may ask. They are your opportunity to show forth the glory of your
heavenly Father. Remember, if there was no Goliath, there would have been no
David.

The word of God will always prevail. It will triumph in any system of
government. So never think the government policies or unfavourable economic
conditions are designed to destroy you. If you live by the word of God, there is
no government policy or economic system on earth that can beat you.

Jesus described the people of His day as serpents and a generation of vipers.
(Mt 23:33). Surely, these people must have been very decadent because you
don’t call good people serpents. They even conspired to kill Him. That sounds
like what’s happening today, doesn’t it?

You have to realize that the darker the night, the more brightly your light shines.
Don’t become like them or talk like them; don’t succumb to their way of doing
things. The more the evil and the corruption, the brighter your light shines.

Jesus said ‘Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be
hid’ (Mt 5:14)

PRAYER THEME PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS ALL OVER THE
WORLD

Pray specifically against evil plots of the wicked against Christians

around the world; that these evil schemes will fail and the Lord’s
purposes for His people will prosper. Ps 37:32-34 (Prayer post by
Pastor on Pastor Chris Live, April 18)

 Pray for Christians especially those undergoing severe persecution as a

result their faith in Christ; that they may be strengthened in their inner
man by God’s Spirit; that the power of God will continually prevail on
their behalf and through our prayers, doors will be opened for freedom of
expression of their faith. ( Ephe 3:16, 2Thess 3:1).

 Pray for Christians who are sick; that through the agency of our prayers
and the rich supply of the Holy Ghost, they will become awakened to the
reality and consciousness of the finished work of Christ, and that power
will heal and restore and make them whole.(Mt 8:16, Lk9:2, Jams 5:14).

 Pray for Christians who are ignorant of the word and are still bound by
wrong doctrines; that through our wide distribution of ministry materials
and multimedia arms, the word of God will reach them and destroy such
lies of the devil and they will come to the full knowledge of Christ and
begin to enjoy their inheritance in Christ Jesus. (Eph 4:14-16)

 Pray that Christians all over the world are growing in grace and in the
knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, having the eyes of their
spirits enlightened to comprehend the truth of God’s word with the
boldness to share it. (Ephe 1:18)
 PRAYER THEME SUPERNATURAL GROWTH IN ALL OUR
CHURCHES

 Declare that we have continuous and increased growth in all our church
attendances and that every program and soul wining activity will bring
about this increase.(1 Cor 3:6)

 Pray for our First timers ministry, the cell system, outreach fellowships,
foundation school, that their input will cause definite spiritual growth and
maturity in the brethren which will also reflect in their participation in
services and church activities. (Acts 2:46-47)

 Pray for our young converts to continue to increase in the grace and
knowledge of the word such that their spirits will be united with the word
affecting their thinking process. (Col 1:10-11, Acts 2:41-46).

 Pray for our local church programs geared towards soul winning and
retainership that they will be purposeful and would achieve
overwhelming results evident in the growth of the church. (Deu 16:15b,
Eph 4:16)

 Declare that our new converts and 1st timers to continue to grow from
being members to becoming partners. They are signing up with our
various partnership arms and they become partakers of the grace upon our
vision and ministry through their partnership (Phil 4:15-17, Phil 1:7).
Prayer theme PRAY FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS ALL OVER
THE WORLD.

Pray against violence and inhumane acts against children and

teenagers around the world. Pray that the purpose of God will be
established in their lives for His glory. (Prayer Post by Pastor on
Pastor Chris live, Mon 12th May)

 Pray for the salvation of unsaved children; that through a divinely

orchestrated means, they will hear and receive the word gladly and God’s
word will become the fundamental principle and bedrock of their lives.
(Mt 18:14, Psa 34:11)

 Pray for children who are victims of war, natural disasters, economic
hardship, violence, neglect or loss of parents and therefore vulnerable to
attacks, crimes and all forms of abuse. Declare that the power of God is
released through our prayers causing a timely intervention of God to
effect a definite change in their situation. (Jer 49:11, Jer 30:20).

 Pray for children who are sick all over the world in the hospitals/ homes;
those whom doctors have given up on/those who cannot afford medical
care. We declare divine health upon them and through our prayers, send
the word of God to them. (Ps 107:20)

 Pray for positive and spiritual influence of godly children over their
peers, they will continue to shine and spread the fragrance of God’s
knowledge wherever they go and impact their world for Christ. (Isa
54:13).
TEENAGERS
 Pray for teenagers especially those in our families, communities, cities
and all around the world; that their desires in life will be pure and they
seek to do things which are upright and are being guided constantly by
wisdom and the fear of God. (Prov 7:1-3, Pro 8:32-35).

 Pray for our gospel, to continue to gain prominence and acceptance

among the youths and they will define their future within the context of
these life transforming messages. (Pro 3:13, 18).

 Pray for Christian teenagers; they are granted special gnosis in their
academics and endeavours to accomplish supernatural feats, inventions
that will distinguish them and cause others to seek after and desire to
know Christ (Prov 12:24, Prov 22:29)

 Pray against premature death, satanic influences of the mind, inordinate

affections and all vices which dehumanize self dignity, declare that these
teenagers will love only what is right and ethical. (Col 3:5, Gal 5:19-24).

 Pray that Christian teenagers all around the world are guided continually
in God’s perfect will for their lives and are rescued from wicked and
unreasonable men. (Ps 124:6,7)

 Pray for those who are unsaved, that they will gladly receive the gospel
and fulfil their purpose in Christ. (Acts 2:21, 41)
 SPECIAL SEGMENT
CONFESSION

I am a victor in Christ Jesus.

All things are working together for my good for my faith filled words are
producing great results everywhere I go.

The one who lives in me is greater than he that is in the world!

I am getting stronger by the day. Every cell of my blood, every bone of my

body and every fibre of my being is energized by the same Spirit that raised
Jesus from the dead.

I refuse to struggle in life.

I declare that the lines have fallen unto me in pleasant places and I have a
goodly heritage. All things are working together for my good.

I do not look at physical things that are temporal but I keep my eyes on Jesus,
the author and perfecter of my faith for I walk by faith and not by sight.

God has set me apart for greatness. I see and experience possibilities, victories
and success only as I keep my gaze on God’s word.

My affections are set, only on the realities of the spiritual kingdom to which I
belong.

I live and walk in the full consciousness of all that belong to me in Christ Jesus.

My thoughts, words and actions are anointed to produce excellence.

I have been catapulted to a place of honour and promotion through the wisdom
of God that is at work in me,

Prayer Theme: PRAY FOR MINISTERS AND MINISTRIES ALL OVER
THE WORLD

Pray specially for ministers of the gospel in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt; that the
Lord will deliver and protect them from unreasonable and wicked men, that the
word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified. (2 Thess 3:1,2) (Prayer

 Pray for ministers of the gospel and ministries in countries where

Christianity and Christians are under threat and persecution; that they
remain focused in the midst of these trials and temptations and remain
steadfast in the faith. (1Cor 10:13, Jms 1:12)

 Pray for peace in nations where churches and Christian ministries are
facing severe challenges, declare that the preaching of the gospel brings
hope and comfort to many. ( Rm 15:4)

 Intercede for ministers in such places of which some have been arrested,
imprisoned, others facing death penalty; declare that help is coming to
them by the power of the Holy Ghost and the authorities concerned are
compelled to review their cases. (Acts 12:5, 2 Thess 3:1-2)

 Pray for the families of these ministers, that they remain unshaken by
adverse/contrary winds but remain committed to the preaching of the
gospel which has been committed to them and their loved ones. (1Cor
16:15)

 Pray for speedy growth of the church in these areas and pray that the Lord
of hosts send more labourers into his vineyard. Declare that new churches
are springing up and the word of God is preached in the demonstration of
the Spirit and power. (Mt 9:38, Mk 16:20)
Prayer Theme: PRAY FOR WORLD LEADERS

 Let us thank God for world leaders and especially for those in authority in
the country where we live according to God’s word. (1 Tim 2:2)

 Pray that world rulers administrate the affairs of their nation with the fear
of God. Declare that they are surrounded with the right people,
information and advisers who will guide them in making judicious
policies (Ezra 7:10, Prov 21:15)

 Declare that righteousness prevails in the nations of the world and the
Spirit of God moves upon the hearts of those in authority to pass laws and
legislations that will favour peace, progress and foster development.
(Prov 14:34)

 Pray for nations whose doors have been opened to Christianity and are
favouring evangelical endeavours, that they prosper and experience
tremendous economic and technological advancement, distinguishing
them from others. (Prov 12:26)

 Pray that those in authority and rulers of nations will openly shun evil
practices and vices, set up structures to expose and deal with the
perpetrators and operate a transparent and fair system of
governance.(Dan 6:4 NIV)

 Pray that the authorities and rulers will come to know the limitations of
human wisdom and the realization that the peace, stability, progress and
development they desire to see in their nations and areas of influence can
only be achieved by the power God and as such, they will genuinely seek
to know Him. (1 Kings 3:9)
