Pulsonix Change Notes

These notes list the main functional changes and problem fixes in each release of the software. They are
listed in order, latest first.

Version 10.0 Build 7248 : 05-February-2019


New Features Introduced After the Release of Version 10.0
Below is a quick summary of functionality introduced in this patch. A full description of the functionality can
be found in the latest edition of the V10 Update Notes available on the Pulsonix web site under

Functional Changes
DXF Output
DXF Output is now available in the Panel Editor.
Report Maker
Two new commands to output the Minimum and Maximum Spacing Values of a ‘Match Pair Level’ spacing
rule.
Reports
New built-in report listing the track styles actually used by tracks on each layer.

Problems Fixed
Drawing
Performance - Some large designs were having speed issues with drawing, mainly with copper areas
displayed.

Export
DXF - DXF Export is now available in the Panel Editor.
GenCAD - In some designs, the output file could contain more than one copper shape with the same name.
ODB++ - Solder mask on the bottom side was covered by a filled shape.
STEP - In the STEP Preview, after using Frame View you could not then move a component.
STEP - Pulsonix STEP Preview and Output caused the program to quit if you switched on 'Drill Holes“ in the
3D Settings.
STEP - Models were not visible if the Step Model names and the folder paths contained umlauts e.g. Ä.
STEP - Step files would not output to folders named using special Germanic characters.
STEP - Program aborts when trying to move a certain STEP enclosure in a STEP 3D preview.

Framework
Find Bar - Star Points in a schematic design were not listed in the find bar
Rules Spreadsheet - Was not including match rule extra delay length when showing length difference.

Scroll Bars - Not scrolling correctly in all design views

World View - Sometimes when using Pan or Zoom on the design, graphics disappeared from world view

Hierarchy
Reload Block - After an Update or Revert of an unchanged block, Synchronise insisted on changing some
test point names in the PCB.

Import
Cadstar - Had incorrect alignment of component names that have top right justification.
Eagle - Failed to import particular eagle XML files.
Eagle - Did not handle same part names from different libraries for different parts in a design.
Eagle - Failed to import a particular Eagle XML PCB design file.
Eagle - Layer mapping was not working when importing Eagle PCB XML files.
Eagle - Eagle XML Schematic import issues with missing pins, wrong colours, visibility of some components
and pin name placement.
Eagle - Eagle XML PCB import issues with separate layers imported to the same layer, incorrect layer order
and wrong colours.
Eagle - Did not read in an Eagle reference design from the Arrows site.
Eagle - Program failed to import an Eagle XML schematic design.
Eagle - Importing an Eagle XML library incorrectly put pin names on an electrical layer.
Eagle - On an imported Eagle XMLPCB design, the default via style had no drill hole.
Eagle - Import Eagle XML footprint library created <Pin Name> attributes which are not wanted.
Easy PC - Silk and assembly shapes were imported using wrong style and wrong shape. Some missing and
misplaced comp names. Incorrect layer contents.
Easy-PC - Some important features from Easy-PC designs were not migrated into Pulsonix.
Easy-PC - Import from Easy-PC Schematics was not including component attributes with no value.
Easy-PC - Was not transferring plane connect overrides on templates.
Easy-PC - Was not importing the correct class to class spacings.
Edwin - Failed to import some Edwin files.
Edwin - Had Edwin file that failed to read in.
Gerber - The pads in a paste mask Gerber file were imported at the wrong angle.
OrCAD - EDF file for schematic symbols and parts was not importing part attribute or footprint information.
OrCAD - EDF file importer was not reading Part Properties "Manufacturer" and "Logic Description".
OrCAD - After an OrCAD EDIF Import, some symbols had pin names incorrectly rotated.
OrCAD - Import of an OrCAD EDF file was not possible using drag and drop onto the Library Manager.
OrCAD - EDF symbol import had incorrect rotation of logic names on rotated pins.
PADS - Reading a PADS netlist was not reading the footprint name correctly.
P-CAD - P-CAD 2002 import did not handle different pad and via styles with the same name.

Interaction
Change Part - Changing a particular part from the vault gave error message "Part not found".
Insert Cutout - Pasting open shapes from the clipboard while in Insert Cutout caused the program to quit.
Move - Was not redrawing repaired copper after moving a via.
Paste - Pasted shapes were being vertically offset when "Y=0" was entered in Type Offset dialog.
Rotate - Copper was not re-poured after simply rotating or mirroring an existing component.

Library Tools
Library Manager - STEP filenames containing Germanic letters like "ü" incorrectly gave 'The system cannot
find the file specified" error in the Library Manager.

Licensing
Network Licensing - Version 10 client can cause Version 8.5 server to run at 100% CPU if "max cap" on a
license feature was exceeded.

Reports
Report Maker - New commands to output the Minimum and Maximum Spacing Values of a ‘Match Pair Level’
spacing rule.
Standard Reports - New built-in report listing the track styles actually used by tracks on each layer.

Technology
Layers - Via land was suppressed on too many items, based on whether edge of drill touches centre of the
copper shape.
Load Technology - Had problems attempting to load technology into old design.
Match Pair Spacings - Had issue with SMD spacings being changed to the PAD spacings after saving and
re-opening a design.
Pad Styles – The dialog sometimes did not respond after deleting unused entries.

Tools
Copper Pour - Pour in Version 10 was taking a lot longer than in the previous release.
Copper Pour - Pouring used the wrong match pair spacing.
Design Revision Analysis - Changes between two files was not clear as the revision report was messed up.
Design Rule Check - Some nets were not obeying a rule when they matched the second part of a Track
Length Match rule.

Functional Changes
Network Licensing
Right-click context menu on booked-out license now allows you to see who has booked it out, and right-click
on client allows you to see what licenses they currently own.

Problems Fixed
CAM/Plot
Gerber - Program aborted whilst generating output for a particular powerplane layer.
Gerber - Left some unfilled shapes on a particular plot, even at high precision coordinate format.

Export
OrCAD Netlist - Did not handle nets on alphanumeric pin names.
PADS PCB Netlist - Did not separate multiply-mapped pins, just put all the pin names together.
STEP - Oval board cutout was covered by copper in STEP preview.

STEP - When drill holes are enabled, the board was missing its top and bottom surfaces.
STEP - Non “through-hole” board cutouts (cavities) were not shown.
STEP - Layer data for bottom silkscreen layer was not drawn at correct depth so did not appear.

File
Open - Opening an earlier version schematic design put wrong values in Match Pairs spacing rules.
Open - Failed to open some previous version schematic designs.

Framework
DRC Errors Bar - Floating DRC Errors bar automatically became visible even though closed by the user.
Toolbars - Spice Model icons were missing a NMOS 3 Term icon.

Import
Eagle - Imported XML file had a missing component in the schematic and an incorrect part name in the PCB
due to interpretation of 'deviceset' parameter
Easy-PC - Some surface mount rectangular pads incorrectly acquired a huge drill hole.
Easy-PC - Import PCB design did not handle an '@' character in part names.
Library Expert – importing a "PLX" file resulted in footprint in thou even if file units say mm.
PADS - Problems importing pads template and copper cutouts.
PCB Libraries - Importing of a "PLX" file was importing the component keepout areas incorrectly.
OrCAD - Failed to import a particular schematic EDIF file.

Interaction
Apply Vias - Placed some vias too close to other items and caused DRC errors.
Edit Track - Finish track over poured copper on same net was not offering the finish marker.
Edit Track - Repour Copper was not working when changing layer whilst adding a track.
Edit Track - When routing a differential pair with via pattern options "Parallel Vias, Crossover and Turn
Backwards" set, you could get track DRC errors when changing layer.
Insert Component - Gave spurious message about using a different library when using environment
variables.
Move - Vertical construction lines were disappearing when moved to the right of a large working area.
Paste - For a footprint with 3600 pins (60x60 BGA), coping a row and pasting to add more pads took a long
time.
Pull Tight Routing - Some tracks which would pull tight in the previous release were ignored now.
Select - Highlight colour "Selection (Not Normally Visible)" did not default to the "Select" colour.

Licensing
Network Licensing - New Server was not recording Usage logs.
Network Licensing - Was unable to start the Pulsonix-Spice simulator when using the network license server.
Network Licensing - Right-click context menu on booked-out license now allows you to see who has booked
it out, and right-click on client allows you to see what licenses they currently own.
Network Licensing - Server manager did not auto refresh its view at the specified interval.

Technology
Colours - Program aborted when changing colour of a layer in a technology file after first visiting the layers
page.
Colours - In Viewer Mode you could no longer change any colours.
Footprint Rules - When adding a new rule, the "New Footprint Criteria" dialog did not exit.
Net Classes - Creation of net classes created invalid Back Annotation data, which caused Back Annotation
to fail.
Net Styles - Could not create a 'no vias' only rule.
Variants - When design is locked or view only, you could still change variants from the status bar.

Tools
Advanced Router - Failed to read a results file back in due to problems with comp names that have a
"PsxVara" suffix.
Design Rule Check - Via In Pad check was very slow.
Design Rule Check - Did not detect an obvious place where a large track overlays several other tracks where
it is incorrectly backed off.
Synchronise Designs - Program quit whilst attempting to synchronise particular designs.
Synchronise Designs - Program quit whilst attempting to synchronise for a second time.

View
Powerplane - Failed to connect with thermals to generated power-plane within a template.

Version 10.0 Build 7246 : 28-September-2018

Functional Changes
Report Maker
Now uses a different colour for control commands and commands that write to the report.
New format file that reports Component Name and the STEP model that it uses.
Scripting
Added the ability to run the Design Revision Analyser.

Problems Fixed
CAM/Plot
Gerber – Copper incorrectly covered two pads on the top layer.
PDF – Bold fonts were being rendered with simple centre lines instead of their proper font character.

Edit
Component Variants -Incorrect component name appeared in the dialog after updating spreadsheet after
changing a part.

Export
ODB++ - Output did not have oval drill hole offset as it is in the design.
Specctra - Class to class pairs were defined before their classes, and incorrect net class attributed to some
nets in the DSN file.
Specctra – Pin names were not used in the interface.
STEP - Running Detect Clashes on a particular PCB caused the application to exit.
STEP - On entry to Position STEP Model for enclosure, picture did not initialise using the existing offsets.
STEP - Using the Position STEP Model dialog with no board could cause memory issues.
STEP - Using the Rotations option in the Position STEP Model dialog could cause memory issues.
STEP - Save Step Models was not including the enclosures.
STEP - Changed the text in Import Design Data from STEP Model to be STEP Board Outline.
STEP - When the “Solidworks” button was checked in the output dialog, the “Text” button in 3D settings was
not disabled.
STEP - 3D STEP Models page was leaking memory.
STEP - Program quit after choosing a colour in the Windows colour dialog.

Import
DXF - Result of importing a DXF file with small shallow arcs appeared empty.
Easy-PC - Did not import Easy-PC Version 22 design and library files.
Easy-PC - Imported design showed all attribute positions for component part and symbol names when they
were not visible.
Intelligent Gerber - UCB Gerber file G05 (Silk Screen top) was not reading into Pulsonix.

Interaction
Add Differential Pairing - Improve creating paired sections of existing diff pair tracks.
Create Breakout Tabs - Was ignoring changes to defaults when creating breakout tabs.

Edit Track - Some methods of ending a track on another track chose the wrong via style according to the
rules.
Insert Drill Table - Rogue breakout via was included in the drill output.
Online DRC - Moving a mirrored component no longer reported a “Cm-Cm” error on the bottom side.

Select Mask - Got stuck in a "Do you want to save?" loop.


Status Bar - Count of selected items from the Find bar is one less than actual count.
Swap Layer – This command should not have been available for a PCB Instance in a panel design.

Library Tools
Swap Symbol - Improvements were needed to the swap symbol tool, added alternatives to symbols and
made the interface more intuitive.
Save Items to Library – Used from a schematic design was quite slow writing parts.
Save To Library - Saving parts to library was broken.
Save To Library - With the technology file defined in the footprint page as "None", editing a connector did not
show pads on the bottom side.

Licensing
Network Licensing - Was unable to run the application on Windows XP platform.
Network Licensing - If the server fails to give back 'needed' licenses (e.g. main application) due to
permissions, license expiry or other issues, then needed to prevent the user from borrowing an incomplete
license file.

Network Licensing - Loan Out won't give you copies of licenses that have expired, but did not tell you this
had happened.
Network Licensing - Was not refreshing the available license list automatically on opening the Loan Out
dialog.
Network Licensing - License Manager could report that it could not connect to the server when it had actually
succeeded.

Options
Multi-Screen - A running copy of a different version of the application prevented the current version from
starting as dual screen.

Properties
Component - Change component name of a multi-gate component caused program to abort.

Reports
Report Maker - New Indent commands feature did not work.
Report Maker - Now uses a different colour for control commands and commands that write to the report.
Report Maker - Listing the searchable attributes on a vault item did not work.
Report Maker - Supply a format file that reports Component Name and STEP model that it uses.
Report Maker - Parts list report generated from CAM/Plot did not obey cropping to area.

Scripting
Commands - The “GetEnabled” method of the “LayerClass” object was not supported.
Commands - Added the ability to run the Design Revision Analyser
Running - The prompt to save over older version files needs to be suppressed when running from a script.
Help - Help for XML settings used in ODB++ and other outputs was misleading (said true or false but should
have been 1 or 0).

Technology
All - Technology dialog sometimes only showed part of the technology file name in the caption.
Naming Rules - Swapping between pad exceptions on a pad with a 'typed' name changed it to a 'ruled'
name.
Naming Rules - had issues with copying styles with rule-based names.
Naming Rules - The style pages were not updating names correctly when updating the style from the grid.

Tools
Advanced Router - Program aborted attempting to route a particular design.
Apply Vias - Program quit applying vias to a particular selection.
Copper Pour - Pouring all layers sometimes created incorrect “Copper To Via” errors on suppressed pads.
Copper Pour - Suppressed vias were sometimes not suppressed when they should be.
Copper Pour - Failed to pour across 'not isolated' pad which had a suppressed land on an inner layer.
Design Rule Check - Was not reporting errors if you were allowing coincident holes but with no minimum
value set.
Design Rule Check - Did not agree with the Rules Spreadsheet about Net Track Length Difference error.
Design Rule Check - Was creating spurious "Sp - Sp" errors.
Design Rule Check - Copying a star point documentation symbol with a pad style exception lost the
exception.
Design Rule Check - Was incorrectly reporting "B-Cm" error for embedded component on an inner layer.
Reload From Library - Used twice and a Component became disconnected from its nets.

Synchronise Designs - Removed schematic only components when they should have been ignored.

Vault
Check In - Checking into the vault a part when the user has no write permission said it worked and removed
the local part.
Check In - Checking a symbol or part back into Vault was not doing the same validation checking as when
saving to a library.
Setup - When vault user was changed using the Vault Setup dialog sign In page, the status bar updating was
very inconsistent.
Setup - Was not being asked to update database table when adding a new Attribute name using New button.

Functional Changes
ODB++ Output
New option to include board cutouts in the "profile" section of the ODB++ data.
CAM/Plots
New switch in Auto Generate Plots to choose to generate plots ordered by variants.
Report Maker
You can now report the rotation of an attribute position. This is the real rotation value, not the adjusted value
for readable text.
Simulation
Added Simetrix to the available Spice types in the Spice Netlist Type dialog.
Import Netlist
Accel Netlist Import now has a Part Mapping dialog.
Selection Mask
There is now an option on the selection mask bar context menu to allow you to show the current selection
mask on the status bar. Double click on the name on the status bar to choose a different mask.
Mitre/Fillet Corner
Added the ability to fillet and mitre corners in a differential pair and PCB bus route.
STEP Output
In the Advanced Options you can now choose the layer class to be used for Silkscreen text.

Problems Fixed
CAM/Plot
Auto Generate Plots - Can now generate plots ordered by variants.
PDF - Linking of net names between subnets did not work.
Gerber - Copper ran over pads and tracks on the bottom layer of a particular design.

Gerber - True Type fonts using the barring character were outputting the bar as a thin line.

Drawing
Grids - Polar grids were not drawn correctly.

Export
Netlist - Accel netlist did not contain the name of the exporting program.
ODB++ - Include copper weight attribute on electrical layers.
ODB++ - Pads at an odd angle would not read in to the latest Valor ODB++ Viewer.
ODB++ - Top side component which is not actually present on Top electrical appeared in the Bottom side
data.
ODB++ - Did not include mounting holes in the netlist section.
ODB++ - New option to include board cutouts in the "profile" section of the ODB++ data.
ODB++ - Was creating invalid component layer data when output was generated from a script.
ODB++ - Check and uncheck "Use CAM Plot Layers" and the plane check box was missing.
STEP - Tracks sometimes were drawn 'fuzzy' as they appear at same Z-coordinate as other items.
STEP - There is a loss of useful data from the view on the Position STEP Model view if layer class is not
exactly 'Silkscreen'.
STEP - Unable to view drill holes for a slot pad in the STEP Previewer.
STEP - Advanced options let you choose Text but this only looked for "Silkscreen".
STEP - Moving component in the preview, sometimes moves in opposite direction to cursor.
STEP - Move 3D Component with Auto Sync 2D on will move a locked 2D component with no warning.
STEP - Selecting an off-grid component and then clicking elsewhere without moving it could shift it on to the
grid.
STEP - Moving an off-grid component initially moved it on-grid but then appeared to move back off-grid.
STEP - Did not handle an empty <3D Package> attribute on a component.
STEP - Enabled 9.1 'No Model Transformation' Design Setting also needs to set the 'Snap By' setting in 10.0
to Origin.
STEP - With SolidWorks check box selected, Output STEP and Preview > Output STEP did not write the
same information.
STEP - Copper was not cross-hatched.
STEP - Program sometimes quit trying to move components in the STEP preview.
STEP - Pulsonix aborted when outputting a particular design to STEP with text included.

File
Save - Saving a 9.1 design was not warning about over-writing it with a version 10 design.

Import
All - Could not use a mapping with a technology file that is in the vault.
Ariadne - Failed to import a particular file.
Ariadne - Was not setting up implied nets on component pins.
Cadstar - A Cadstar Schematic CSA file did not import.
Cadstar – A CPA file with component variants failed to import.
DesignSpark - Failed to import schematic with ":" in symbol names.
DXF - Was not importing a DXF circle width correctly.
Eagle - Was not correctly importing Board Outlines and Holes in the board.

Eagle - Did not import the "SMD" pad corner roundness parameters.
Eagle - Did not import the template hatching style.
Eagle - Footprint areas on keep out layers were not being set up as component bodies.
Eagle - Failed to convert some ‘URL encoded’ documentation symbol names.
Eagle - Text alignment was incorrect on mirrored text in a PCB design.
Eagle - Solder mask oversize and Paste mask undersize were incorrect.
Netlist - PCB Import Netlist failed if Accel netlist had empty attribute fields.
Netlist - Accel Netlist Import to PCB did not have the Part mapping dialog front end.
Netlist - Import Netlist did not handle incrementing default net names well.
OrCAD – A PCB file import did not work if using a mapping file.
PCAD - The Placement Body Area added to footprints was not working to the centre line of line shapes.
Visula - Layer Class from the Technology not being maintained on import.

Interaction
Add Teardrops - Improved results when teardrops are added to pads that are 'special' shapes.
Clear All Templates - Could cause the program to abort if it was the first thing done.
Edit Track - When using new 45 Angled (Fillet) segment mode the paired tracks were sometimes too close.
Edit Track - Program quit when double clicking to finish a differentially paired track on a net with no net class
whilst in a rule area.
Edit Track - Could route differentially paired tracks over each other without any complaint from online DRC.
Edit Track - Finishing a particular track over a via was causing the program to quit.
Duplicate - The Merge/Join Nets dialog used by Duplicate did not increment the number before any trailing
double-underscore.
Measure - Was not finding the correct spacing on a specific inner layer.
Measure - was not reporting different inner layer spacing for multi-layer item when layer was selected.
Mitre Corner - Added the ability to fillet and mitre corners in a differential pair and bus route.
Pull Tight - Pulling Tight a track containing fillets ended up with a track with no fillets.
Rules Spreadsheet - Net length calculation did not include the extra length from the <Pin Package Length>
attribute.
Rules Spreadsheet - Actual value calculated from the <Pin Package Length> attribute did not use the unit
name suffix.
Selection Mask - If mask had "Additional Mask Parameters" off it was still applying the attribute filter.
Selection Mask - Show selection mask on the status bar and double click on it to choose a mask.

Library Tools
Find - Symbol find tool didn’t clear the name filter when trying to select the found component.
Find - Schematic symbol find tool displayed incorrect options when doing 'custom' search.
Library Loader - PLX import could not use mapping with a technology that was in the vault.
Library Manager - The library lists didn’t refresh when multiple program instances had different 'enabled'
states for the same library.
New Part - New Part dialog was getting stuck between Associated Part and Normal Part radial buttons and
settings.
Part Edit - Associated Parts tab was not showing all footprints with associated parts, and sometimes
repeated a footprint.
Reports - Part Pin Mismatch report was very slow.

Save Items To Library – With nothing selected in a PCB design, could not save the parts to a library.
Save To Library - Creating a pad exception for a layer class in a footprint was corrupting the technology file
and the design it was added to.
Save To Library - Whilst saving a footprint with a change to the technology, applying the change to the
technology file was duplicating all net styles.
Symbol Wizard - On the Pins page, changing the length value of a pin was not retained.

Licensing
Network Licensing - Was unable to run the Advanced Router.

Properties
Dimensions - Program failed when opening properties on a selection of dimension data.
Dimensions - Could not remove dimension unit text directly after changing the dimension unit type.
Star Point - Changing the symbol on a star point ended up with it on the wrong layer.

Reports
Report Maker - Sorting by net length had become quite slow.
Report Maker - Reporting documentation symbols did not obey clip area.
Report Maker - Allow report maker to report rotation of attribute position (real rotation, not adjusted value).

Setup
Load Profile - Loading a Profile with an Embedded View into a design, the embedded view incorrectly
showed additional design layers.
Load Technology - Was changing the PCB Safe Mode status.

Simulation
LT Spice - Setup did not browse for the new LT Spice simulator executable name.
Simetrix - Add Simetrix to the available Spice types in the Spice Netlist Type dialog.

Technology
Design Settings - Problem with Synchronised Design Name retaining form if a dot is included.
Styles - Clicking on any style that uses a templated or ruled name highlighted the apply button.
Spacing Rules - If you delete a match pair spacing explicit value by using DEL when editing the cell it
remains blue.
Naming Rules - PCB Track style naming rule had wrong column header.
Naming Rules – Program quit if design had no Track style naming rules and click on the Match Width check
box.
Net Styles - Cells in the grid were not editable after creating a new rule.
Styles - Define New Pad Shape was sometimes losing the Drill Shape form.
General - Some technology pages enabled the apply button by clicking in a cell in the grid.
Design Settings - Changed the Defaults button to Edit Defaults.
Signal Paths - When defining a sub net or signal path, you lost any previous changes you had made in the
technology dialog.
Rules - Help page for Track Length Match rules was incorrect.
Drill Sizes - Incorrectly displayed Import and Export CSV buttons on the Drill Sizes dialog page.
Styles - If more than one style resulted in the same name using name rules, the incremented tail of names
kept changing.
Styles - Duplicate pad styles were created when creating a symbol.

Spacing Rules - When selecting Symmetric Grid, if you said no to losing values it should have unchecked
the checkbox.
Styles - When using Define Pad Shape the current layer was not being shown.
Styles - Changing the pad style shape from Special to Oval shifted the shape and the wrong error message
was displayed.

Tools
Advanced Router - Advanced Router will not run on specific design containing matched pairs.
Advanced Router - Program quit when the router was run for a particular design.
Copper Pour - Repour Affected Templates was not happening after replacing a part.
Copper Pour - Pour Templates on All Layers' and clicking the Cancel button had to be done numerous times
when design had inner layer templates.
Copper Pour - Auto-repaired copper sometimes had odd shapes and left-over bits.
Copper Pour Copper healing was not redrawing properly on inner and bottom layers
Design Rule Check - For a Minimum Pad Annulus check, the error flag was on the wrong layer.
Design Rule Check - Was not correctly reporting errors between pads within rule areas.
Design Rule Check - Check for 'mounting hole outside board' marked them as "B-P" errors, but should have
been "B-M".
Optimise Nets - Act Poured on templates was not working.
Reload From Library - Was losing the Pin type status if reset in the library to “No Connect”.
Synchronise Designs - Was creating duplicate test point components.
Synchronise Designs - For a particular design with test points, almost all the components needed to be
deleted and replaced.

Vault
Setup - After signing in as a different vault user, the vault information for already open designs is not
updated.
Toolbar - When editing a technology file or part, by default the Vault toolbar was not visible and did not
appear on the menu-bar context menu.
Properties - In Block Instance Properties, a Change Block to a vault block will be ignored if it was still has the
same name as the old block.
Permissions - User with no permission to move item locations still has the move dialog enabled and can go
into it, when he goes to make the change, now warning is given, but item is not moved.
