System hung with enic and fnic errors present - Red Hat Customer Portal Page 2 of 3

• The listed drivers ( kmod-enic-2.3.0.27-rhel6u8.el6.x86_64 and

kmod-fnic-1.6.0.27-rhel6u8.el6.x86_64 ) are third party drivers, and are therefore
outside the range of support.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux ships with a supported driver that has been thoroughly
tested, and will not cause this same issue. Use the driver included with Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.9 (kernel version 2.6.32-696).

Diagnostic Steps
To check for installed third-party drivers, the following command can be used:

# egrep 'weak|extra' lib/modules/2.6.32-696.13.2.el6.x86_64/modules.dep
