EVERY DAY IS SAFETY DAY AT MEIL

Reg: Disposal of Defective and Damaged Material (SOP)

[1] All Employees of the MEIL are responsible for complying with the

guidelines and procedures of the Company HSE policy.


[2] Individuals must properly identify, characterize, and prepare their
materials for collection and disposal by HSE personnel.
[3] Specifically, individuals using hazardous materials must accurately
identify and label all materials;
[4] Accumulate and store materials safely.
[5]Request collection of the material by submitting electronic disposal

requests to HSE.
[6] Every possible effort to minimize the quantity or toxicity of
hazardous waste generated must be made by each individual Equipment’s
by following the waste minimization guidelines provided by the MEIL
policy.
[7] It is the responsibility of HSE personnel to ensure that All MEIL
employees, contractors and visitors are aware of and follow the
guidelines and procedures of MEIL policy.

And moreover

Store personnel are responsible for classifying, collecting, transporting and


disposing of hazardous and Non Hazardous materials generated at workplace
activities.

Other responsibilities include:

 [8] Maintaining updating the hazardous, Non Hazardous waste records.


 [9] Submitting hazardous, Non Hazardous waste reports.
 [10] Acting as a liaison with state and federal agencies,
 [11] Providing emergency response to chemical spills and incidents
involving hazardous materials,
 [12] Recycling hazardous materials,
 [13] Providing technical support and training for the employees.
