Greetings of Peace!

We are greatly honored to inform your good office that we’re planning to perform a Culminating Activity
for the Interactive English: Listening, Speaking, and Grammar. This will serve as an opportunity to develop
interpersonal skills of the students.

In relation to this, we are requesting from your good office to grant us permission to conduct such activity
on October 20, 2014 at exactly 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon. Furthermore, we are also asking for a venue
and lend us sound system of the school. Attached herewith is the Activity Plan. We are hoping for your
favorable response regarding this matter.

I. Course Title
Interactive English: Listening, Speaking, and Grammar
“Theme: “Interactive English: An Effective Tool for Improving Communication Skills towards Achieving
Language Fluency and Excellence”

II. Background of the Activity


Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education (BSEd) students are in the degree program where they are trained through formal education in
Eastern Quezon College so as to be prepared in the different events that may be encountered in the future
as an educator. The Interactive English: Listening, Speaking, and Grammar is one of the remarkable course
which provide students with vast opportunities to learn, develop, and apply knowledge and concepts in
interpersonal skills. Hence, a Culminating Activity is planned to offer students with experiential learning
grounds that could showcase their skills and abilities.

III. Objectives of the Activity


This activity aims to interpersonal skills among college students. Specifically, in this activity, the
participants will be able to:
 appreciate, understand themes and deliver oral reading of poems;
 deliver a speech in front of the crowd;
 act and utter words and sentences with appropriate emotions and intonations;
 develop teamwork and camaraderie among students

IV. Activity Outline


Activities Expected Output
 Poetry Reading The students/performers are expected to showcase their talents
 Oration congruent to the learning objectives of the course and execution of
 Declamation Oral Communication Skills with mastery, henceforth, the practical
 Speech Choir exam allows the students to express the use of prosodic patters with
 Mini-Stage Play proficiency in language skills on the activities to perform.

V. Time Frames
This activity will start at 1:00 PM and is expected to end at 3:00 PM.

Venue: Eastern Quezon College, Gumaca, Quezon

VII. Participants
The participants of this activity are all college students enrolled in the Interactive English class under
the supervisions of Dr. Peter Andrew G. Regencia and Mr. Jeffrey M. Vallejo. There are also invited judges to
assess the performances and determine the winners for each categorical activity.

VIII. Activity Cost


All expenses in this activity will be supported through financial contributions of students enrolled in
the Interactive English class.
