Dear Jose,
How are you and your family in Madrid? My family and I are all in good health.I received
your letter two weeks ago. I'm sorry I did not reply to your letter earlier. I was away at a four-day
camp and I had to prepare for it a week earlier. I just got back yesterday. It was the first time I
had been away from my family.
I had a wonderful time there, which was at Pulau Tioman, an island off the coast of
Malaysia. The camp was organised by a bank company and the Malaysia Society of Marine
Sciences. The aim to of the camp was to teach us about marine life and understand the
importance of conserving and appreciating it. About 50 teenagers from a few schools in our state
were there. I also made several new friends.
So, what has been happening in your life? It is winter now in your country, isn’t it? You
wrote that winters are mild there but I'm sure it must be cooler there than the weather here in
Malaysia. Here, it is not very hot at the moment as it is the rainy season.
I am sending you a Christmas present by post. It is something I bought at Tioman Island.
I’m not going to tell you what it is as I want it to be a surprise. Till I hear from you, take care of
yourself.
