5. COMPETITION RULES
The 21st AMAC will be conducted in accordance with the rules of IAAF, except as
modified by the Rules of Competition of AMA / WMA and any special rules specified
in the 21st AMAC Competition Rules.

7. AGE REQUIREMENT
The 21st AMAC is open to all men and women born on or before 2nd December 1984
who are fit and certified healthy by medical doctor for competition. Athletes will be
classified by 5 year age groups from 35 + for both men and women. Misleading
information on age during entry procedure shall be grounds for disqualification.

9. QUALIFICATION & REGISTRATION FOR ENTRY

9.1 21st Asia Masters Athletics Championships are open only to men and women
who are 35 years or above by 2nd December 2019, and who are medically fit
to compete. Entry signifies that each competitor must follow the rules laid by
the organising committee.
9.2 Entries shall be submitted online by the Affiliates of Asia Masters Athletics
(AMA).
9.3 Entries from Non Affiliates and Outside Asia Region must be sent directly to
21st AMAC LOC .
9.4 Participants can obtain Entry Forms and all information on competition from the
AMA Affiliates in their respective countries, and from: registration-
amackuching2019.com (please go to 21st AMAC website:
amackuching2019.com, to open registration link )
9.5 Participants shall send the Entry Forms, copies of ID cards or passports
(indicating the athlete's date of birth), fitness certificates, passport size
coloured photo and Entry Fee to their respective AMA Affiliates in their
countries. The Affiliates will register online all their athletes.
9.6 Open events (for outside Asia Region) : There are 9 open events , in 5
categories where athletes from outside Asia Region can take part.
The registration procedures are as below.

10. Online Registration Procedures
10.1 Open the 21st AMAC website : amackuching2019.com; and then log into
registration website at: registration-amackuching2019.com, to download
instruction and entry form for online registration
10.2 Fill in the Online Entry Form and upload passport size coloured photo.
10.3 After filling in the entry forms, the Affiliates must bank in the total entry fee
through online transfer to the bank, according to the payment procedure in
Rule No.16
10.4 After completing the online registration, the bank in slip must be sent by e
mail ( amasiva42@gmail.com ), or by registered mail and received by the 21st
AMAC LOC by 1st September 2019, to the following address:

10.5 Online registration is only for AMA Affiliates .

10.6 Athletes from Outside Asia Region and from Non Affiliated countries must fill
in the entry form manually and send to the 21st AMAC LOC at the above
address.

11. ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR AMA AFFILIATES

11.1 All Entries must be registered online and validated by the Affiliates.
11.2 An athlete can participate in a maximum of 4 individual events (track & field),
Asia Masters 10 K, and 2 relay events .
11.3 Affiliates must collect all the entry forms and entry fee from their master
athletes and register all the entries online.
11.4 Collect the entry fee from all the master athletes and bank in by 1st
September 2019 (following the instruction in Rule No. 16 ). Entries will
only be accepted by the 21st AMAC LOC, after receiving the proof of entry
fees payment (by e mail).
11.5 Once the online registration is closed, the affiliates must log in, check all
their athletes’ details and validate the registration by 15th September
2019.
11.6 If there are any corrections, Affiliates must send e mail to 21st AMAC LOC
( e mail address) stating the corrections clearly, by 15th September 2019.
If we don’t receive any e mail by 15th September 2019, all the information
given in registration will be accepted as final, and after 15th September
2019, no changes or amendments will be entertained.
11.7 The Affiliates are responsible for the details given in the online
registration.

12. ENTRIES FROM ASIAN COUNTRIES NOT AFFILIATED TO AMA
12.1 Entry Forms must be submitted directly to the 21st AMAC LOC, prior to the
closing date together with the copy of the athlete’s identity card or passport
(reflecting the athlete’s date of birth), a passport size coloured photo and a
copy of the bank in slip of entry fee payment, for AMA’s approval, to the
following address, by 1st September 2019:

12.2 An athlete can participate in a maximum of 4 individual events (track & field),
and Asia Masters 10K
12.3 Only entries with correct amount of entry fee paid on or before the closing date
will be accepted.

13. ENTRIES FOR OPEN EVENTS ( OUTSIDE ASIA REGION )

13.1 ENTRIES FROM OUTSIDE ASIA REGION AFFILIATED TO WMA
13.1.1 Entries from athletes of WMA Affiliates/Members must be sent through
the Affiliate / Member to the 21st AMAC LOC.
Athletes can only enter in the open events and in the specified
categories as in Rule No. 22. (Please refer to rule No. 22 for more
information).
13.1.2 An athlete can participate in a maximum of 4 individual events (track
& Field) and Asia Masters 10K (in the categories specified)
13.1.3 Athletes / Affiliates / Members can download the entry form from the
website: registration-amackuching2019.com (please go to 21st
AMAC website: amackuching2019.com, to open registration link )

13.1.4 After filling in the entry form, the athlete/Affiliate / Member must bank
in the total entry fee through online transfer to the bank, according to
the payment procedure in Rule No.16 (and send the copy of bank
slip by e mail: amasiva42@gmail.com)

13.1.5 Entry Forms must be submitted directly by the Affiliates/Members , to

the 21st AMAC LOC, prior to the closing date together with the copy of
the athlete’s identity card or passport (reflecting the athlete’s date of

 13.1.6 Based on the entries, the respective Affiliate / Member will be provided
with User ID and a password to validate the entries by 15th September
2019

13.1.7 If there are any corrections, Affiliates / Members must send e mail
to LOC ( e mail address) stating the corrections clearly, by 15th
September 2019. If we don’t receive any e mail by 15th September
2019, all the information given in registration will be accepted as
final, and after 15th September 2019, no changes or amendments
will be entertained.
13.1.8 The Affiliates/Members are responsible for the details given in the
entry form registration.
13.1.9 AMA and the 21st AMAC LOC reserve the right to refuse any entries
without any reasons given.

13.2 ENTRIES FROM OUTSIDE ASIAN COUNTRIES NOT AFFILIATED TO WMA

13.2.1 Can only enter in the open events in the specified categories as
in Rule No. 22. (Please refer to rule No. 22 for more information).
13.2.2 Entry Forms must be submitted directly to the 21st AMAC LOC, prior
to the closing date together with the copy of the athlete’s identity card
or passport (reflecting the athlete’s date of birth), a passport size
coloured photo and a copy of the bank in slip of entry fee payment, for
AMA’s approval, to the following address, by 1st September 2019:

13.2.3 An athlete can participate in a maximum of 4 individual events (track

& field), and Asia Masters 10K (as in the categories specified)
13.2.4 Only entries with correct amount of entry fee paid on or before the
closing date will be accepted (please send the copy of bank slip by
e mail: amasiva42@gmail.com)
13.2.5 AMA and the 21st AMAC LOC reserve the right to refuse any entries
without any reasons given.

14. AMA and the 21st AMAC LOC are entitled to refuse any applications for insufficient
information/documents concerning the championships participation and for failure of
full payment. Once the application process is finished, relevant information will be
unalterable or irretrievable. Once the fees related to the championships are paid,
the fee will not be returned in the case of withdrawal and cancellation or delay
of the championships due to weather or other reasons.
15. There will be no change of event / deleting or adding of event / change of
competitors after registration procedures are completed on 15th September
2019.

16.1 All entry fee payment must be done through online banking.

16.3 Entry fee in US Currency should reach us in full amount without

deduction of any charges for the Local Organising Council.

16.4 After banking in the total amount of the entry fee, please send the copy
of the bank in slip through email: amasiva42@gmail.com and mail a
copy to the 21st AMAC LOC. Only after receiving the proof of payment
the entries will be processed.

* If an athlete register for Asia Masters 10K as only one event, it will be
considered as 1st event and the entry fee will be USD 10
17.1 Entry Fee is non-refundable

17.2 Accompanying person who wish to join the banquet has to pay:

USD 25 - for the welcome banquet

USD 5 - for Accreditation Card

 17.3 A RELAY TEAM may mix age groups and compete in the younger age group.
A relay team must consist of members of the same country. A relay athlete
competing in a younger age group for one relay team remains assigned to the
same age group for all relays. Each affiliate may enter only one team in each
relay.

Team Managers/Affiliates should indicate the number of relay teams taking

part to the LOC, at least one month before the competition date ( by 2nd
November 2019)

Entry of relay teams and payment of the relay event fee must be
submitted for registration during the Team Managers’ Meeting.

18. CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: 1st SEPTEMBER 2019

19. LATE ENTRIES

Permitted with a fee of USD 15 per event up to 7th SEPTEMBER 2019.
No entries will be accepted later than 7th September 2019

20. PRIZES
20.1 1st to 3rd winners (men and women) will be awarded a medal and a diploma
respectively.
20.2 Every registered competitor will be awarded a participation certificate.
20.3 Maximum of 8 finalist will be given diploma.

21. VICTORY CEREMONY

Victory ceremony will be coordinated by the Prize Committee members. The
competition events shall be given precedence over the victory ceremonies.

22. OPEN EVENTS FOR ATHLETES FROM OUTSIDE ASIA REGION

22.1 Events :

100m, 800m, 5000m, 5000m Walk

Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Asia Masters 10K

22.2 Categories:

45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65-69 (for Men & Women)

22.3 Finals :

In 100m, only 3 athletes outside Asia Region who qualify will be allowed
to participate in the finals

 22.4 Medals:

Medals will be awarded for winners who finish within 1st to 3rd position in
the finals.

23. UNIFORM
All competitors are encouraged to wear uniform that is approved by their national
masters athletics associations, especially for the relay events.

24. TEAM MANAGERS’ MEETING

Date: 1st December 2019
Time: 10.00 am
Venue: Sarawak Stadium, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
( Only two members from each country will be allowed to attend the meeting ).

25. FINAL CONFIRMATION

Final confirmation of participants shall be handed over to the LOC by 9.00 am the
previous day, except for day 1 events for which confirmation lists shall be handed over
during the Team Managers’ Meeting.
Team Managers’ Technical Meeting will be held at 9.00 am, from 2 – 5 December
2019, at stadium 1. It is compulsory for all team managers to attend this meetings.

26. MEDICAL
26.1 Prior to the Championships all athletes must take insurance and do
medical check up confirming that they are fit and healthy to participate
in the championships
26.2 During championships, a medical centre will be set up at the competition
site. Only First Aid will be provided by the medical officers. Any
additional medical expense is to be borne by the participant.
27. DOPING TEST
The LOC will conduct Doping test at random during the competition.

28. OPENING CEREMONY : 5.30 pm on 2nd December 2019, at Sarawak Stadium,

Kuching.
CLOSING CEREMONY : 6.00 pm on 6th December 2019, at Sarawak Stadium,
Kuching.

29. WELCOME BANQUET : 7.30 pm on 2nd December 2019, at Indoor stadium.

30. ASIA MASTERS 10 K : 7.30 am on 7th December 2019, at Sarawak Stadium,
Kuching.
31. CHEST NUMBER & ACCREDITATION CARD COLLECTION
Athletes and Team Officials must collect their chest number / and accreditation card
individually at Stadium 1, from 30th November – 4th December 2019 ( from 10.00am –
6.00 pm ).
