To whom it may concern,

Ashlyn Bergethon would be a valuable addition to any school’s instructional team. She is a
consummate professional, well traveled, and a gifted communicator. Ashlyn is well educated
and experienced in the fields of mathematics, technology, instruction, curriculum, and classroom
management. She plans and executes lessons for her students with knowledge, enthusiasm,
and a knack for making real life connections to the curriculum and standards. Classroom
management and communication are among many of her strengths as an educator. As her
VTfT mentor, I have appreciated her ability to collaborate, delegate, and compromise when
necessary. She has been an instrumental part of our classroom over the past few months.
Ashlyn brings a fresh approach to the delivery of curriculum through graphic organizers, digital
integration, and hands on exploration of mathematical concepts. She is well-organized and is
able to balance the often arduous tasks associated with teaching. New to the field of education,
Ashlyn is not only a team player, she is a positive role model, and a innovative leader. Currently,
Ashlyn is an 11th grade student at Cox High School in the VTfT program. She holds a 3.97 GPA
and will graduate in June of 2020. Ashlyn is extremely active in the community, participating in
several leadership development programs within her church (and elsewhere) that focus on
serving the children of Hampton Roads. She is able to do all of this while participating in several
extracurricular activities, and while also working as both a babysitter in the community and as a
hostess at a local restaurant. Ashlyn's experience, knowledge, creativity, commitment, and
passion make her an asset to any district or school.
