A Complete Timetable for Class 9th and 10th Students:

How many times have you crammed subjects the night before or the morning of a test? You’re
plagued with anxiety because you’re almost certain you will fail. Most of the time, you end up
doing worse than you hoped. Or maybe you could skid by with an average mark; however, you
wanted a better grade. Do you know what’s the simplest solution to avoid this, especially during
class 9th and 10th (which are paramount importance)? Create a study plan! Unless you are Albert
Einstein (even he struggled to perform spectacularly in school), you cannot breeze through Class
9th & 10th with minimal effort.

Students who create and stick to an all-day study timetable, have higher grades, test scores, and
retention of study materials. But let me tell you that there isn’t a study plan that’s better than
others. Everyone is different, and so are their study plans.

Students often stumble over what their schedule should be and how they can optimize the work
they do. Having a common purpose in the form of timetable helps a lot as planning is the key to
success.

So, if you want to get organized and feel motivated to get your work done to the best of your
potential, try following the following study timetable for class 9thand 10th students!

How to Make the Best Out of Each Study Session
Session I – Planning
The early morning hour is the best time to study, and never again in the entire day is the mind this
attentive. You might feel drowsy but whatever you read during this hour, will stay with you for a
long time. Since it is morning time, you can just read like a magazine, what you are going to
study today in the evening. It is like getting acquainted with the syllabus for today’s study. If
nothing, just flip the pages and go through important formulas and chemical reactions!

Session II – Homework & School Work


Try to complete homework as soon as you return from school. That’s one less task for the day. If
you don’t have homework for a day, go through what was taught today in school. If you think 2
hours are insufficient, then you have to reduce your play time for that day accordingly. However,
make it a point to indulge in recreational: sports, gymming, gaming, the Internet or whichever
form of entertainment suits you! It is very essential to help recharge your brain and also for

Session III – Difficult Subject


You can identify two subjects that you find the most difficult. This 1 hour you can dedicate to
those subjects. You can study them every alternate day or every 3 days.

Session IV – Other Subjects


You can pick up the easier ones during this time. Maybe there will be four subjects left, out of
which certain subjects can be distributed into two parts. So, you can study for 4-5 subjects six
days in a week.

Session V – Daily Revision


Here you have to revise all the study that you had done today in the other two sessions. It is like
an oral test on your own.

Holidays/Sundays – Try having a weekly revision and then a written test of what you studied
during the weekdays. Alternatively, if you like studying in the morning, you can move one of the
evening sessions to early morning at 4 am or 5 am.

You know what the best part is? Well, if you don’t feel like studying on these days, just do
whatever you want. Maybe catch up with friends, go for a family outing, watch movies or simply
relax on the sofa chitchatting with your siblings. This is one day you deserve to take it easy,

Other things you need to keep in mind:

 Try waking up 1 hour before you usually get up to get ready for school.
 Revise the lessons that were taught in school the day before.
 Read subjects that need memorizing like History, Geography, etc. in the afternoon after lunch.
Make sticky notes of things that are difficult to remember.
 Avoid listening to music, watching television, text messaging or surfing the Internet while
studying.
 Do not study past 11 – 11:30 P.M.
Everyone wants a great score. However, you have to put the work in to get there. It isn’t easy, but
it is worth it. Putting a plan in place allows you to get the most out of your studying every day.
Study plans help your brain focus, which leads to better memorization and recalls.

So, stick to your timetable. Stay consistent. You’ll receive the results you want through
determination, self-discipline, and great study habits. You can change the timetable as per your
preferences and routine but don’t stress yourself either.
