Muchas gracias por adquirir nuestro WiseBath® WB Baño de agua a precisión.
Ud. ha tomado una muy buena decisión al optar por un equipo de la marca Wisd .
Por favor lea con atención este manual antes de operar el equipo. Además de las instrucciones
de seguridad y la descripción del funcionamiento, están indicados los parámetros técnicos más
importantes.
Sólo el uso apropiado del equipo garantiza la máxima seguridad y alta durabilidad del equipo.
Es por eso que le recomendamos seguir todas las instrucciones de seguridad indicadas en el
párrafo 2.
Si desea transferir el uso del equipo a un tercero, es necesario que le entregue también el
manual.
witeg se reserva el derecho de modificar, sin previo aviso, la caja externa o las
especificaciones del producto para mejorar la calidad y el rendimiento.

2.2 Instrucciones
Para el uso correcto y seguro del equipo, es indispensable que lea atentamente las siguientes
instrucciones y las ejecute al pie de la letra al momento de operar el equipo.
 Conecte el equipo sólo en conexiones eléctricas previstas con la tensión adecuada. Por
favor verifique las indicaciones en la placa de identificación.
 Asegúrese que el cable no esté dañado y esté correctamente conectado.
 No se permite usar conectores múltiples para extender el cable de conexión.
 Opere este equipo sólo en circuitos eléctricos que cuenten con un dispositivo de corriente
residual (RCD).
 En caso que conecte un cable de extensión, verifique que el conductor transversal sea lo
suficientemente grande.
 En caso que escuche ruidos inusuales o vea humo, desconecte inmediatamente el cable de
alimentación y comuníquese con el fabricante o distribuidor.
 Antes de cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento o reparación, desenchufe el equipo.
 En caso de uso de material radioactivo o contaminado, el cliente es el único responsable.
 La tapa se calienta rápidamente de acuerdo a la temperatura del equipo; por lo tanto sólo la
toque con guantes de protección.
 Tenga en cuenta que, al abrir la tapa, pueden caer gotas calientes de vapor.
 No coloque objetos sensibles al calor encima del equipo.
 No está permitido el uso del equipo en ambientes expuestos a explosiones.

 Opere el equipo sólo una vez que se haya familiarizado con todas las instrucciones de
seguridad.
 Este equipo debería ser operado sólo por personal calificado que esté familiarizado con
medidas de seguridad para trabajar en un laboratorio.
 Verifique que no entren líquidos al regulador o a la caja exterior.
 Para que el equipo alcance una alta durabilidad, es necesario mantenerlo limpio.
 Antes de desenchufar el equipo a la red, es necesario que haya apagado el equipo.
 En caso que hayan caído objetos inflamables, que sean conductores de la electricidad o de
cualquier otro tipo o líquidos en el equipo, deberá desconectar el equipo de la red
inmediatamente.
 Use siempre la vestimenta de protección adecuada al operar el equipo.
 Desconecte el enchufe si no va a utilizar el equipo por un tiempo mayor.
 Nunca cubra las ranuras de ventilación de la caja exterior del equipo; esto podría conllevar
a la destrucción del mismo y a un incendio.
 Verifique que el equipo no pueda deslizarse.

 Para evitar aglomeración del calor o incendios, Ud. deberá verificar que el equipo tenga
suficiente espacio para que el aire circule adecuadamente.
 Evite la exposición a la luz solar directa.
 El equipo no puede ser operado cerca de materiales inflamables.
 Está prohibida la instalación del equipo al aire libre.
 El equipo sólo debería ser operado en un lugar bien iluminado para evitar incidentes
causados por error de un operador.
 La instalación del equipo en lugares húmedos o polvorientos, puede causar cortocircuitos,
sobrecalentamientos e incendios.

 Todos los circuitos eléctricos y componentes electrónicos de este producto se basan en una
tecnología propia de witeg. Por eso, las reparaciones y las modificaciones del equipo sólo
pueden ser realizadas por personal autorizado de witeg. La transgresión implica la
exclusión de la garantía y puede provocar daños graves a la propiedad y lesiones
personales.
 Recomendamos el empleo de agua destilada para prolongar la vida útil del equipo.
3 Descripción del producto

3.1 Características principales
El Wisd WiseBath® WB Baño de agua a precisión es muy popular debido a su alta

duración de vida y precisión en muchas áreas, tales como en química, biología, medicina o en
el campo farmacéutico.
Al desarrollar el equipo, se ha hecho especial énfasis en la seguridad y facilidad de uso. Los
elementos de control han sido limitados con la finalidad de que el manejo sea simple y
conveniente.
A continuación se detalla una lista con las principales características:
 Alta durabilidad gracias a su robusto diseño y fácil operabilidad.

 Bandeja de acero inoxidable resistente a los químicos.
 Sistema de control digital Fuzzy con botón giratorio Jog-Shuttle, fácil de usar.
 Pantalla iluminada para la indicación de los valores ajustables y reales.
 El tiempo de funcionamiento es ajustable y es posible indicar la hora del encendido.
 Señal acústica en el apagado automático.
 Función de almacenamiento para los ajustes más frecuentes de temperatura y tiempo.
 La tapa de acero inoxidable impide la evaporación y mantiene la temperatura en forma
constante.
 Fácil de calibrar.
 El bloqueo de teclas impide que se pueda modificar por error un parámetro
preestablecido.
 Supervisión de errores respecto al sensor de temperatura.
 Interruptor de seguridad para establecer una temperatura máxima deseada.

3.4 Definiciones
SV: (ing.: set value), el valor ajustado (fila superior)

PV: (ing.: present value); valor actual, medido por el equipo
(fila inferior en la pantalla, en el modo de bloqueo fila superior e inferior)
LCD: (ing.: liquid crystal display), pantalla de cristal líquido
Tecla MODE, modo

 Es requerido para combinar las teclas y alternar entre los menús.
Botón giratorio Jog-Shuttle

 Al girar el botón, se incrementan o disminuyen los parámetros.
 La función de pulsación se requiere para la combinación de teclas y la confirmación de
los valores ajustados.
 Iniciar y detener pulsando la tecla.
Combinación de teclas
 Es requerido para alternar entre los sub-menús.
 En primer lugar, presionar la tecla MODE (mantener presionado) y adicionalmente
presionar el botón Jog-Shuttle.
Interruptor de seguridad
 Para establecer cualquier temperatura máxima, en la cual – al sobrepasarla – se apaga
la calefacción del equipo.

 Para encender y apagar el equipo.
Luz/Indicador del temporizador

 Parpadea en los menús indicando el ajuste del tiempo.
 Está iluminado permanentemente en el modo de bloqueo en caso que se activara el
retardo en el apagado.
Luz/Indicador de la calefacción
 Parpadea en el menú “establecer la temperatura”.
 Está iluminado permanentemente cuando el equipo calienta.

5 Desembalaje y operabilidad
1. Retire con cuidado el embalaje y cualquier posible suciedad.

2. Compruebe si el equipo ha sufrido algún daño en el transporte. En caso hubiera algún
daño causado por el transporte, informe inmediatamente a la compañía de transporte y
su contratista.
3. Deje que el equipo se aclimatice por un tiempo en el lugar a ser usad antes de
conectarlo a la red.
4. Asegúrese de que todas las medidas de seguridad hayan sido tomadas.
5. Llene la tina de acero inoxidable con abundante agua destilada.
6. Conecto el equipo a la red.
7. Prenda el equipo usando el interruptor de red.
8. Ajuste la temperatura de activación del interruptor de seguridad en aprox. 20 °C a 30 °C
por encima de la temperatura de funcionamiento.
9. Ingrese los parámetros de funcionamiento deseados (véase descripción de funciones).
6 Descripción de funciones
6.1 Estructura del menú
El Wisd WiseBath® WB Baño de agua a precisión ofrece un manejo simple y confortable.

La estructura del menú es amigable tal como lo muestra el siguiente gráfico.

6.2 Establecer el retardo en el apagado
Al expirar el tiempo del apagado programado por Usted, la calefacción es apagada de forma
automática.
 Luego de encender, se encuentra inmediatamente en el menú “Ajuste del retardo en el
apagado”. La luz del temporizador parpadea.
 Si no desea establecer el tiempo de retardo, entonces use la tecla MODE para llegar al
menú principal.
 Gire el botón Jog-Shuttle para elegir el tiempo de retardo que desee.
El tiempo es ajustable en pasos de minutes y puede comprender un máximo de 99
horas y 59 minutos.
 El tiempo de retardo empieza a transcurrir tan pronto Usted presione el botón Jog-
Shuttle.
 Si desea cambiar posteriormente un valor ya activado, entonces debe volver a presionar
el botón giratorio. El PV vuelve a parpadear y puede ser modificado.
Luego confirme nuevamente la orden presionando el botón Jog-Shuttle.
 Si desea desactivar el retardo en el apagado que ya está transcurriendo, entonces
presione la tecla MODE cuando el PV esté parpadeando.
6.3 Establecer retardo en el encendido
Al expirar el tiempo de retardo establecido por Usted, la calefacción se enciende

automáticamente y el tiempo de retardo en el apagado (véase 6.2) se inicia. El retardo en el
encendido solo puede ser establecido, si todavía no se ha activado el retardo en el apagado.
 Emplee en el menú “Establecer el retardo en el apagado” la combinación de teclas para
llegar al menú deseado.
 Gire el botón Jog-Shuttle para seleccionar el tiempo de retardo deseado. El tiempo es
ajustable en incrementos por minutes y comprende un máximo de 99 horas y 59
minutos.
 El tiempo de retardo se inicia en cuanto Usted presione el botón Jog-Shuttle.
 Si desea modificar posteriormente un valor ya activado, entonces tiene que presionar
nuevamente el botón giratorio. El PV comienza a parpadear nuevamente y puede ser
cambiado. Luego confirme nuevamente la orden presionando el botón Jog-Shuttle.
 Si desea desactivar el retardo en el encendido que ya está transcurriendo, entonces
presione la tecla MODE cuando el PV esté parpadeando.

 En la fila superior (SV), Usted puede observar el valor establecido/ajustado, mientras

que en la fila inferior (PV), el tiempo que resta para que se inicie el encendido de la
calefacción.
6.4 Establecer/Ajustar la temperatura
 Desde el menú “Establecer el retardo en el apagado”, usted puede ingresar al menú

“establecer la temperatura” usando la tecla MODE.
 Gire el botón Jog-Shuttle para establecer la temperatura deseada. La temperatura
puede ser ajustada hasta un máximo de 100 °C en intervalos de 0,1 °C.
 La calefacción se prende una vez confirmado el valor y el tiempo del retardo en el
apagado. El indicador de la luz de calefacción muestra que está en funcionamiento.
 Si desea modificar posteriormente el valor ya activado, entonces tiene que presionar
nuevamente el botón giratorio. El PV comienza a parpadear nuevamente y puede ser
cambiado. Luego confirme nuevamente la orden presionando el botón Jog-Shuttle.
 En la fila superior (SV), Usted puede observar el valor establecido, mientras que en la
fila inferior (PV) la temperatura actual en el baño de agua.
6.5 Calibrar
Si Usted mide la temperatura en el baño de agua con un termómetro externo y observa una
diferencia en relación al PV indicado en la pantalla, entonces Usted puede compensar esa
diferencia con el coeficiente de la temperatura. El equipo indicará entonces la temperatura
correspondiente del termómetro externo.
Se aplica:
Valor de la temperatura medido externamente – valor de la temperatura indicado (PV) =
coeficiente de la temperatura
Este valor puede ser almacenado ahora en el equipo.
 Desde el menú “Establecer la temperatura”, Usted puede ingresar al menú “calibración”

usando la tecla MODE. En la fila superior de la pantalla se indica el valor actual (PV) y
en la fila inferior el coeficiente establecido.
 El coeficiente de la temperatura puede ser de ±10 °C y puede ser ajustado en
incrementos de 0,1°C.
 Calcule con ayuda de la fórmula indicada el coeficiente correspondiente y gire el botón
Jog-Shuttle. El coeficiente es ahora sumado al PV medido. Presione la tecla MODE
para confirmar el ajuste.

6.6 Modo de bloqueo
El modo de bloqueo evita el cambio accidental de un parámetro preestablecido; se desactiva el

botón giratorio Jog-Shuttle.
 Desde el menú “Establecer la temperatura“, Usted puede ingresar al “modo de bloqueo”

empleando la tecla MODE. En la fila superior de la pantalla se indica la temperatura
actual (PV) y en la fila inferior el tiempo restante (PV) hasta el apagado automático de la
calefacción.
 Para salir del modo de bloqueo, presione nuevamente la tecla MODE. Entonces se
encontrará en el menú “establecer el retardo en el apagado”.
6.7 Función de almacenamiento
Si desea operar el equipo con determinados parámetros, Usted puede ahorrar tiempo valioso
usando la función de almacenamiento. Se omite el ajuste de la temperatura o de los tiempos de
retraso; los valores almacenados solo deberán ser confirmados presionando el botón Jog-
Shuttle.
 Mantenga presionado el botón giratorio Jog-Shuttle durante dos segundos para

almacenar la temperatura o el tiempo SV actual.
 Los valores almacenados correctamente, parpadean tres veces y están disponibles
cada vez que encienda el equipo.
 Para cambiar los valores almacenados, Usted deberá establecer el nuevo valor y
mantener presionado el botón Jog-Shuttle durante dos segundos.
 Borre los valores almacenados, cambiándolos por “0”.
7 Mantenimiento y limpieza
 Lea con atención las instrucciones de seguridad antes de iniciar algún mantenimiento o
reparación.
 Desenchufe el equipo antes de iniciar la limpieza del equipo.
 La limpieza del equipo solo deberá hacerse con detergentes neutrales y con paños
suaves.
 Solventes orgánicos, sustancias químicas y paños ásperos pueden dañar el equipo.
 Si no desea utilizar el equipo por un tiempo prolongado, desenchúfelo y guárdelo seco
en su empaque.
 Solo utilice repuestos originales.

1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing our WiseBath® WB Precise Water Bath. You did a good choice
buying a Wisd product.
Before use, please read this manual and use it properly.
To cover the user’s health and avoid the product’s destruction you have to follow the safety
instructions of the second chapter.
Please keep this operating manual in a save place for future reference and hand it out if you
consign the device to a third person.
Witeg reserves to modify the capsule or make amendments for the improvement of quality and
efficiency without prior notice.

2.2 Instructions
For a safety and faultless using of the device it is indispensable that you read the following
instructions purposely and follow them by the use.
 Connect the device only to the suitable power supply. Please have a look to the
identification plate.
 Use the device only in electric circuits with ground fault circuit interrupter.
 Check the power supply cord before you stick it into the electrical outlet.
 Do not use power bars to extend the power supply cord.
 Only use extension cables with sufficient cable cross section.
 Do not touch the device with wet hands during the usage because this might cause an
electrical shock.
 If unexpected sound, smell or smog is generated by the device, pull out the main plug and
contact the manufacturer or your supplier immediately.
 Disconnect the power supply plug before cleaning or maintenance.
 If you use radiation or contaminated samples the responsibility is only up to you.
 Do not put heat-sensitive items on the device.

 Warn all attendees if you leave the device unattended.
 Pay attention when you lift up the lid, hot condensation water may drop down or hot steam
could come out.
 Do not clean the scorching device.
 Reparations and amendments should only made by witeg authorized people.

Contraventions exclude the warranty.
 Make sure, that the safety switch is adjusted up to 20-30°C over max. temperature.

Otherwise the heating maybe doesn’t work.
 Use this device only if you read the whole safety instructions.
 This device should only used by persons who are familiarized with safety instructions made
for laboratories.
 Pay attention that no liquid reaches the controller or inward of the capsule.
 You have to keep the device clean if you want to get a longer life of it.
 Wear corresponding protective work clothing during the usage.
 Pull out the power cable if you didn’t want to use the device for a longer time.
 Make sure that the device can not slip away.

 The device could get damaged if the vibrations are to strong.
 To avoid heat congestions or fires make sure that there is enough space for air circulations.
 Avoid direct solar radiation.
 Do not use the device near highly combustible materials.
 Do not set the device outdoors.
 It is superiorly to set the device in a good illuminated place to avoid accidents engendered
by handling errors.
 To set the device in wet or dusty places could cause overheating, short circuits or fires.
 Do not use this device in areas with potentially explosive atmosphere.

Heating lamp
 Shines if the heating is activated.
Jog-Shuttle knob
 Change SVs by turning.
 Push the knob for start and stop or probate set values.
 Hold it pushed for storing SVs.
 Used for key combination.
Safety switch
 The safety switch turns the heating off if your set maximal temperature is overshoot.
 Set the maximal temperature rough 20 – 30 °C over the desired maximal temperature,
otherwise the device maybe not reaches your set value.
MODE button
 For changing between the different menu items.
Key combination
 Push the MODE button first (hold it) and in addition the Jog-Shuttle knob to reach the
sub menu items.

5 Positioning the device and commissioning
1. Follow especially the safety instructions marked with following symbol:

3. If there are any unexpected transport damages, please inform your forwarder and your
costumer service.
4. Remove perhaps soiling and package material.
5. Set the protection switch 20 - 30 °C over desired water temperature otherwise the
heating coil does not work.
6. Fill enough distilled water in.
7. Before you connect the device with the electrical outlet, please let some time laps until
the device is acclimatised.
8. Make sure that you follow all safety instructions.
9. Connect the device with the power outlet.
10. Switch the device on and start the process (look at job description).

6 Job description
6.1 Menu structure
The Wisd WiseBath® WB Precise Water Bath proffers the genial combination of MODE
button and Jog-Shuttle knob. That allows a simple and comfortable usage.
The menu structure is well-arranged and pictured as follows.

6.2 Set turn-off delay
The turn-off delay timer serves as automatically stop function. It turns off the heating when
timeframe is elapsed.
 First menu item after switching the device on is the menu “set turn-off delay”. The timer
lamp is blinking.
 The delay time is adjustable from one minute till over 99 hours (00:01 - 99:59) in one
minute steps.
 “00:00” stands for endurance run.
 Turn the Jog-Shuttle to choose your desired value and probate it by pushing the
Jog-Shuttle. The delay time starts to run by probating the value.
 If you want to change the confirmed value, you have to push the Jog-Shuttle once more.
The PV starts blinking and is adjustable again.
 To stop the delay timer you can set “00:00” or push the MODE button when the value in
PV line is blinking.
6.3 Set turn-on delay
The turn-on delay timer serves as automatically start function. It turns on the heating or turn-off
delay timer when timeframe is elapsed. The turn-on delay time is only adjustable if the turn-off
timer is not activated.
 To reach this sub menu item you have use the key combination (look at 3.4) in the menu
“set turn-off delay”.
 The delay time is adjustable from one minute till over 99 hours (00:01 - 99:59) in one
minute steps.
Jog-Shuttle. The delay time starts to run by probating the value.
 To stop the delay timer you can set “00:00” or push the MODE button when the value in
PV line is blinking.

6.4 Set temperature
 To reach this menu item you have to push the MODE button in the menu “set turn-off
delay”
 The temperature is adjustable from 0 °C till 100 °C in 0,1 °C-steps.
Jog-Shuttle. The heating process starts shortly after probating the value when there is no
turn-on delay time running.
 To stop the heating process you have to push the MODE button when the value in PV line
is blinking.
 The heating lamp shines, if the heater is activated.
6.5 Justify
If the temperature measured by you differs from the temperature the device is showing (PV) you
have the possibility to compensate the divergence by the Offset. So you can balance
differences of about ±10 °C.
The Offset is calculated as follows:

 To reach this menu you have to use the key combination in the menu item “set
temperature”.
 Set the calculated value by turning the Jog-Shuttle. The Offset will be added to the PV
immediately.
 Confirm the Offset by pushing the MODE button, you will also reach the previous menu.

6.6 Key lock
 To avoid accidental changing of the set values, push the MODE button in the menu item
”set temperature”.
 In this menu item can you see the actually temperature in the SV-line and the remaining
time of turn-off delay time in the PV-line. The function of the Jog-Shuttle knob is
deactivated.
 Press the MODE button once more to leave the key lock. Than you are in the menu item
“set turn-off delay”.
6.7 Storage function
The WiseBath® WB Precise Water Bath includes a storage function for temperature and timer
values. That is practical if you want to work with the same parameters often. Then you didn’t
need to set them in every usage.
 For storing values you only need to hold the Jog-Shuttle knob pushed for two seconds.
Successful storing is displayed by blinking of the SV for three times.
 Any stored parameters are erasable. Turn the value with the Jug-Shuttle till “0” and then
hold the knob pressed for two seconds.
 If you want to overwrite a value it is not necessary to erase the old one. Set the desired
value and use the Jog-Shuttle knob for over-storing.
7 Maintenance and cleaning

 Please read the whole safety instructions before you start to maintain or clean the
device.
 Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet.
 Only use care cleaning agents and soft cleaning rags.
 Organic lotions, strong chemicals and rough cleaning rags can damage the device.
 If you not want to use the device for a long time, pull of the power plug and keep it dry in
the package.
 Only use original spare parts.
