Notes
Clementine is a fun, quick
to knit, adorable pinafore
baby dress. Stripes, and a
fun pocket insert not only
make the garment so cute,
they also add interest during
knitting. Its seamless
construction means you
knit and you are done! We
chose to knit Clementine in
Hikoo’s wonderful CoBaSi
fingering yarn. The yarn is a
blend of cotton, bamboo
and stretchy nylon. This
yarn makes the dress light,
perfect for summer wear,
and just a little stretchy for
baby’s comfort. The stretch
will also give baby some
growing room.
Useful tips
This pattern calls for making stripes. We recommend you do not cut the yarns between stripes and rather
carry the yarns up.

To avoid a jog in your stripes, as the dress is knit in the round use the jobless stripe method demonstrated
in the following links.
https://www.craftsy.com/knitting/article/knitting-jogless-stripes-in-the-round/
Knit 6 rounds in garter stitch starting with a purl round. (When knitting in the round, to get garter stitch,
alternate one purl round with one knit round.)
