A Comparative on Reproductive Health Awareness among Private and Public Senior

High School students in Davao City

Statement of the Problem

The main objective of the study was to determine the reproductive awareness

among the Grade 11 senior high school students in San Pedro College main campus

which come from different schools either public or private.

Specifically, it sought answers to the following query;

1. Which students are the most oriented in reproductive awareness during their

Junior High school, students from public or private school?

2. Is there a significant difference between two groups of respondents in the

reproductive awareness of the students?

3. Which school needs more attention from the Government regarding in

reproductive awareness, Public or Private?

4. How did the reproductive awareness affects their perspective in life as a

student?

Hypothesis

The students in a private school are more oriented in reproductive awareness

compared into the public school

Research Participants

The approximate number of the respondents in health awareness of Grade 11

Senior High School was one thousand (1000) which come from different schools during

Junior High School and officially enrolled in STEM, HUMMS and ABM of San Pedro

College first semester SY 2017-2018.

Research Procedures

The following are the procedures followed by the researchers to get sufficient

information from the respondents (Grade-11 STEM, HUMMS and ABM) regarding on

their reproductive awareness from Junior High School.

First step was asking permission for the conduct of the study. The researchers

wrote a letter to the head of SHS, Prof. Rosario M. Oconer, MATC ,to allow them to

conduct the study at San Pedro College.

Second step was constructing the researcher-made test questionnaires basing

on the Reproductive Awareness. The researchers used a self-made questionnaire to

identify the level of awareness of the participants.

Third step was validating the instrument.

 Fourth step was asking permission from the subject teacher of the participants

of this study.

Fifth step was retrieving and gathering the data. The unchecked data of the

respondents were handed by the researchers to the hired statistician. The selected

questionnaires were checked and the results were tabulated by the researchers.

Lastly, analyzing and interpreting the data gathered. After the tabulation and

calculation of data, the researchers deliberated, analyzed and interpreted the results

accordingly to come up with the conclusions and recommendation.
